  1. brakes are good ;)
  2. some interesting points above, I have similar but not exactly the same problem. Battery charges well, 14+ volts after start up, dropping down to mid 13's after 5-10mins. However, when applying full throttle, my battery light comes on dimly and also my 'lights' light. Those warning lamps also come on after prolonged driving in rain accompanied by a nice electrical buzzing noise from the dash  All physical lights still work at this point and all is well for the next drive.
  3. Initial Weights Front Left 432 / Right 422 Rear Left 315 / Right 374 Drove to Birmingham today for work so took the Zed for a blast, unfortunately broke a traction control arm while there so had to drive back very gently and will have to get the alignment done again once fitted! Sodding potholes :taz:
  4. Final weights were Front Left 417 / Right 437 Rear Left 329 / Right 359 These weights include my 'ballast' of 76Kg, quite funny when they rung me up to ask how fat I was :) Weighed a bit more than I hoped, but as you say, not much info around from accurate scales.
  5. found this one, 1600Kg - LWB TT with 1/2 tank of fuel http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=129801&highlight=geometry
  6. how many have had their cars weighed properly (corner weight scales)? I'd be interested to see what they weighed in at. Had a full alignment done today and had the car corner weighted at the same time... 1467Kg with a full tank (minus 8 litres), welded in 10point FIA spec chromoly cage, minimal interior (seats, harnesses, dash, centre console back to arm rest).
  7. no quad will be lighter than a single... flow and power can be matched though
  8. quad for looks, well made single for performance (ie weight and flow)
  9. get yourself some HKS or Forge actuators, don't bother messing around with spring rates in the stock actuators
  10. go for it, offsets are good as well, just run a spacer on the front and it'll be bang on. I had to buy 2 sets of TE37's to get the sizes I wanted (only available in staggered sets) so jump at the chance when you can
  11. found it, it's a stickky in the faq area http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=134331
  12. no need to apologise, and I don't think you've asked for everyone, just stating before it happens  There are a few wheel fitment threads stating what sizes work and what work if needed to get them to fit. Think JimmyTT started the most recent one
  13. As Si says, width means nothing without offsets. Even a 10J on the rear will not fit if the offsets are wrong. To go for aggresive sizes you need to understand wheel fitment back to front and inside out, asking on here for each wheel won't get you very far! As a rule stick with 8.5-9 on the front, 9-10 on the rear. You asked on my new wheel thread if I needed to roll the arches on my setup. I spent a long time researching offsets, and there was a lot of work to get them to fit, not just just rolling the arches.
  14. R888 265/30 up front, 305/30 at the rear:laugh:
  15. bit of both, alignment being done next week ;) well, as always I always do things to the extreme. They are 19x10.5 all round ... Not black, Volk Formula Silver, same as the second pic ;)
  16. quick snap of the new wheels, not the best of angels and car/wheels are filthy! Will take some proper pics after a wash and getting the alignment done next week
  17. bbs lm's are lovely but keeping them clean would drive me nuts!
  18. 265/35 is the correct size
  19. the ones I mentioned are just an internal upgrade for stock ones. Re-cond ones will also be fine for your needs
  20. I run uprated ones from BDE http://bde-performance.com/goose.htm
  21. why do you even look at that site ?
  22. yes, I know, but I only want them for a few days...
  23. Can anyone help me out and lend me a pair of 25mm spacers for a few days? will cover postage etc and buy you a drink at Japfest :)
