I have never had any whistler from my car, however while driving in Epping yesterday evening, I was follwing three cars doing about 55mph (don't worry it was a 60mph zone ;)) . The next thing I know this large rock (part of a pavement kerb) appeared in the road, the other cars went stright over it without a problem. unfortunatley my car is a fair bit lower than theirs. I hit the rock and dragged it under the car for about 50 meters until I stopped. I had to jack the car up slightly to get it out from underneath the car (it was wedged). Now I also have a whistle while accelerating, seems to happen from about 3.5k rpm onwards it's loudest in first gear. Have I got a boos leak or do you think this rock has done some serious damage ?

Why do they really bad ones smell like bad eggs, even though your haven't had eggs all week. Also: Why is it that when we puke up, there are always carrots in it ?. Even if your never had a carrot in your life ?. Also: Why do your never see baby pigeons ?

Nissan rear shocks are only about £40 each so it's the cheaper option in this case. It's rare I know ;).

If you are gonna jump in the puddles you got to wear your wellies !!!. I'll probably get fit her up with a new bumper, carbon fiber interior and some BOVS - that's if any of them arrive by then :(. As for the Mrs, I'm thinking of taking her away to the Marriot hotel for a weekend of pampering.

While on the subject of traction control. I use the windows GUI software to configure rather than the dos version that comes with the unit. Can I ask what you all use and where you get your settings from, do you just use the trial and error method or is there a site somewhere which gives you a basic setting and then you just alter slightly taking your tyres, wheel size, rear shocks ;) into consideration. The reason I am asking is I am currently to my knowledge running the same settings as SRRAE, but have far most skip than him when pulling away (judging by his vid). This may be due to the rear shocks as I think we both have Falken tyres on if I remember correctly.

Anyone changed the rear shocks themselves ?. I was thinking of doing myself but don't fancy standning on the rear disks to force the shock off it's seat.

Hi James, I'm insured with USAA which is the US military's insurance company. Unfortunately you can not get insured with them unless you or a family member work for the US Military (and my missus does) :D. As for the 0 - 60, the reason I say this is due to the fact that I got TC fitted about 2 weeks after I got the car, so I guess I'm not used to standard starts :(. Not risking turning it off though (well not totally) It's far too much fun !!!. People who haven't got traction control fitted to their Z, probably think he's not going to make it when sitting in the passenger seat approaching a corner.

Do yo get a lot of smoke when stationary after a short run ?.

Well I've been in James car and it's very smooth unless you hit a pot hole, but then that speaks for itself. I think it is smoother than mine and I have stock wheels.

Jack the back of the car up and check the play of the back wheels from top to bottom. If it's a fair bit then there is your answer. You need to get your camber sorted mate. 4 wheel alignment from a speacialist.

You mention 0 - 60 times. If your traction control is configured correctly your 0 - 60 times will decrease (i.e you will get to 60 quicker) as it will reduce the slip of the rear wheels. Also save yourself £150 and fit it yourself. There are instructions on my site and also a link to the TT.net page which has more detailed instructions if you get stuck. There are a few people on here who have fitted at least one traction control device. If you get stuck just give us a shout. Also insurance wise, my insurance allows me to drive any car (Fully comp) as I am insured rather than the car. When it comes to mods, all I need to do is keep the receipts so I can claim for the cost of them if my car gets stolen / set on fire / written off.

Are the O2 sensors easier to change than the gear shift bushes ?. Because if they are I'll do it, otherwise I'm going to book mine in for the £30 O2 sensors and the £200 labour LMAO.

I needed some components and wanted excellent sound so I decided to read the review in this months Max Power mag. They did a test on all of the top selling component speakers. The ones that came out top were the Kenwood KFC-PSR71P which retail at £180. Unfortunately this was a little out of my price range as I was looking to pay about £100. However while browsing through the magazine I found an online shop called http://www.bass-junkies.com which had them for £110 + £10 P&P so I ordered them (Tuesday 15:00), they arrived via city-link 21 hours at 12:00 (Wednesday). 200W dual mags with nice cross over display box's if you want to show them off.

And this is the man who posted "Help there's nothing worng with me Z" just a few weeks ago :D. My want to check the resistance with a multi meter. Paul C was telling me that although the connectors were clan, the section where the wire joins to the connectors was badly corroded on his, so he cut it off and re wired it. I'll be doing the same this weekend.

Well it look like a few of us will be accidentally crashing the front of our Z's into a wall at some point over the next couple of weeks ;). Obviously only enough to right off the front bumper. The time is right to lower that excess :D

Also make sure you put them on the right side as they will be spotted by the wheel police :D
