What are 240 throttle bodies ??? And oversized 550cc injectors ?
  9. LMAO. OK, OK, Please would someone give her back the crown ;). I should do the old Ajay trick here....yes I think I will.. I didn't type that !!! You must have read it wrong LOL :D.
  10. Hi, as SRRAE (Stuart) says, If you reset the ECU it has to learn the settings again. This takes about 200 miles. In that time is may hunt, bounce or hesitate even more. I would not bother resetting the ECU until you have done at least two or three of these jobs. The fuel filter changing would not really require an ECU reset as much as the connector cleans.
  11. Well looking at the stats and my service history. I still have the original PTu and the car's done about 70k Miles now so, if it's not that that is the problem I'm sure it will creep up sometime soon, so I have decided I'm going to get a new one. But I am in luck as a friend who used to own a Z has one he has never fitted (still in the box with all the mount frames wires and screws - Post '93 model) so I'm gonna take that off his hands. He only wants £30 for it. I know he's a friend but I'm not going to tell him to charge me more now am I ???. Thanks to all of you who have offered to lend me their PTU. It's good to have friends when your 300zx goes wrong and I really appreciate it. Thanks again.

Stop it. I'm gonna get sacked. I'm absolutly pissing myself here !!!!!. Starting to get strange looks.
  13. LMFAO !!!! Excellent.... You gotta love em :D
  14. Hi Berkley ! I don't know how to say this, especially since it took you all night. Well erm, Hmmm. It's a little rough mate. You may want to try a different application to resize it and save it a JPEG format. The quality of that picture looks about 1k's worth. You are allowd 5k. If you want I can make you a good Avatar, send me a picture that you want to use and I'll scale it down for you and make it very clear. stu@z32.co.uk or I'll give you instructions and the software to make your picture into an animation. Something simple like SRRAE's light and dark gauges. I've done James300's car doing an animated burnout. but it's at 7k so I just need to scale it own slighly.
  15. Well I'll get a newone probably and repair the old (if it needs it). That way I can always lend it to someone if they thing theirs has gone.
  16. All I can say is thanks to James for running that one over down my street. I'm sure he was on his way to my engine bay for lunch !!!
  17. Yeah you're probably right. A new one wouldn't hurt I suppose. I've learnt so much on here since I've had this car it's unreal. Thanks peeps.
  18. Guys, Can I just say. It's really not that hard to fit Traction Control. I have experienced a few problems fitting a racelogic one recently but it turns out that the box itself was faulty and has since been sent back to Racelogic for repair. There are step by step instructions on how to fit it, on my website and Twinturbo.net. It will also only take you max of about 5 hours to fit and not very long to configure (that's if you fitted it correctly). There are a few guys on here who can fit it, some charge a small amount others do it for free. If anyone needs help fitting it and are willing to bring the car to me, I'll help (as long as you are willing to learn). The more people we have that know how to fit and configure it, the less money we have to spend :D. Share the knowledge
  19. hmmm, Thanks guys, Do you think my problem with the misfireing when warm is definatley the PTU ?. I don't want to order one and find that it's something else :(. Is there anyway to check without swapping it over ?. I may just take it off open it up and get the tweezers out for a tug, what do you think ?
  20. So it's a stright swap over then, no new loom or reconfiguring required ? Why are the old ones so much money if they are unrealiable ?
  21. Hi Guys, Since the series 1 PTU is prone to failing, does anyone know if a series 2 PTU fits on a '90 300zx without any problems ?. I'vebeen told by a reliable source that my misfiring when warm may be the PTU on its way out. Or does anyone enjoy fixing broken PTU's :D. :(
  22. 1....2.... there that's what I said not a massive burnout. Not something I would do myself, just a thought :D... Muffman, if you say that warming the tyres in this way won't give you extra grip, how can you explain my arse all ove the shop until the tyres are warm and then it holds the road like it's on rails (not quoting from pretty woman, before anyone starts :D). Talking of F&F whens number 2 out, I got to get some more ideas LMAO !!!!. I got some strange looks from a few people on a bus the other day when I pulled up next to them with a laptop running traclog on the passenger seat  . I felt like a bit of a t|t but hey I had to change configurations but needed to know what was going wrong first.
  23. Well at 6 seconds you should have been at about 70mph and maybe just chaning into 3rd gear (in a manual not sure about auto, probly just changed into 2nd). Were your tyres warm ?. Next time you want to have a proper race, warm them up. A quick 2 second burn out while the lights are red should sort you out. LOL You may need new shocks at the back. Only £40 each. I have Traction control on mine so I don't get the slip, also have launch so the fiesta would never have been neck and neck in the first place. Well worth buying. We gotta teach those boy racers about real cars. :D You manaul or auto ?
  24. That don't look good. I haven't got a clue what I'm looking at, but still it don't look good :D
  25. Keep my rear bumper away from that skyline. It gets upset :D. All the best in what ever car you drive Peter.
