I'll be fitting Kenwood 6x9's in the standard pods on Sunday with the help of a friend ;) I know that the bracket will need some modification but I don't think it will be too hard. I'll take some pictures and update my web site in the evening. Check my site on Monday to see how we got on :) Should have my Carbon fibre Interior section up as well by then.

LOL Mike. You've met me !!!!. I'm not quite as slim as you, can you see my sliding under the fron tof my Z will one wheel is on the kerb. I may be able to get an arm under it that way, but there's no way the rest of me will fit ;) . Nice thought though :(. Right I used a few bricks each side in the end. i.e. drive onto two bricks side by side (only 1 brick high), push ramps in place then use another two bricks either side to build up the ramp, from this point you can just drive up all the way. While I was under there I got covered in ATF, it was still red so I got a leak somewhere before it even gets to the power steering :( . Hopefully sort it out by Saturday. Thanks for all your ideas.

You mean Jack it up slide the ramps in place then release the jack, or drive it with the trolley jack still lifting the car ?

While looking under the bumper last night I found my horns LOL. Grey ones just in front of the inter coolers are these stock ones ? These are horns right because if you tell me they are recirc's I'm going to look pretty stupid ;)

There is something strange going on here. My post "Can we put 300zx's on ramps" now has Andy duff at the top commenting on Ajay's signature. My other post "I thought my Engine has blown up :( " says Andyduff was the last one to post, but yet I can not see his comment made at the end of the thread ???? Are we having server problems ? Can anyone else see this or is it just me ?

No Mate, It has nothing to do with Traction control. I thought that by I used traclog to check whenit was kicking in and the misfire was not caused by the TC box, it was the engine itself. Also it feels different to when the TC box misfires the engine, it's more jumpy and power lacking. Also how would that explain that it only happens when the car is warmed up. Happens in a straight line as well as corners.

Not sure my missus would be too happy but maybe If I just make sure my car is parked there whenever she exit's or enters the house, I could get away with it :D. I'll try getting he up on the ramps tonight. I need to see what damage that big rock did to my car that I ran over :(

The 300zx doesn't have seat belt tensioners does it ?. We were going out the other day and I realised that I had left the battery disconnected after rewiring my temp sensor. The mrs was strapped into the passenger seat when I reconnected the negative on the battery and at that time she said her seat belt tightened as I did it. I didn't think we had these fitted on the 300zx or was that just a coincidence ?

Hi All, I have some ramps which I used to use for my 2.5 ton BMW. These are the simple singular drive up ramps. Has anyone used these to get the font of the car up before ?. When it comes to clearance on the front of the car. Can we drive straight up them or do we need to jack a side up at a time and give them a head start ? Would be interested to know how you get your front end up (ooh-er missus);)

UPDATE...... I noticed that my car would only start to misfire and jump when the car gets very warm. For the first 20 mins of a journey it's fine but then starts playing up on me. I thought it may be my temp sensor so I cut the yellow connector off and crimped on a few female spade connectors. Maybe my temp sensor has packed up. Does this sound like it could be the cause ???. Or would you suggest replacing my PTU as well ?. Hmmmm starting to puzzle me now as the car if fine when cold. Thanks guys !!!!.

I have never had any whistler from my car, however while driving in Epping yesterday evening, I was follwing three cars doing about 55mph (don't worry it was a 60mph zone ) . The next thing I know this large rock (part of a pavement kerb) appeared in the road, the other cars went stright over it without a problem. unfortunatley my car is a fair bit lower than theirs. I hit the rock and dragged it under the car for about 50 meters until I stopped. I had to jack the car up slightly to get it out from underneath the car (it was wedged). Now I also have a whistle while accelerating, seems to happen from about 3.5k rpm onwards it's loudest in first gear. Have I got a boost leak or do you think this rock has done some serious damage ?
