You had any damage to the front quarter panel ?. Is it sticking out slightly from the door. Thisis usually the problem. Womeone has probably dropped it off the curb or jacked it up wrong at some stage. Check the join to see if it's crumpled.

Funny you should mention that Pete. I also did a few runs with a friend and a stopwatch but not really to test my 0 - 60. More to test my traction control launch. Before TC I was getting around 5.5, after TC I am getting about 5.1 :D :D. BTW, James is right ! This Silver Almost stock seems to be a lot faster than the Red ;) even with my big arse behind the wheel. :D

Well, I won't be selling my Zed ever. If the time comes and I need to get rid of it. I'm going to break it. Not only will you be sorting your mates out, but you'll also make a lot more money ;). However saying that, my insurance company covers all my mods as long as I have the receipt. They don't charge me any more for them as they insure me and not the car (I can drive any car I want and I'm still covered). But they say that if I want to claim for any after market parts in the result of a loss, I need to keep the receipts, where they will compensate me for the mods takings wear and tear into consideration. All for the bargain price of $928 (works out about £680) fully comp. Unlike most of you... I love my insurance company :D.

James, I meant to ask you about your zorst. I know it's form powerflow and I know you have it decatted. Who decatted it ?. Did you get it gutted or change to straight pipes ?. If so how much are we talking all in to replace and decat ?

I have just fitted an Apexi induction. I can hear a little more whistle but this may just be my turbo's on their way out :(. It does sound like a vacuum whistler rather that a hissing whistle if you know what I mean, So I assume this is the induction. Wasn't there with the standard air filter box on tough. Mind you something which really is embarrassing .... I drove past a granny who thought I tooted her the other day. She started waving at me. The problem is I didn't toot... It was the bloody goose honk :o . Ordered BOVS now so within a few weeks I'll drive pass her again and scare the crapp out of her with a very loud

Hmmm, I know your zorst is very loud but I reckons that your 600 decibel dump valves may also have something to do with it !! ;)

At the moment my car is £5k + £1.5 in mods and 1.5 in maintainance. So £6.5 or £8.

I can only help with two of your items. Air filter - Open the bonnet and use a 10mm socket set or spanner to unbolt the panel between the lights. Once unbolted lift very slightly and pull towards the back of the car, wiggle a bit until it comes loose. Under there you will wither see a cone shaped item or a black box. If it's a cone you have induction kit. If its a black box, check my web page under engine...induction to see how to open it. If you have a paper filter then you do not have a air filter upgrade. if you have a wire mesh round the filter then you probably have K&N replacement filters (a red sticker will usually be placed in your engine bay to tell you this). Dump Vales - These should either be viewable as soon as you open the bonnet (on the fat pipes ;) ) or you can get on the floor and look under the front bumper for things that resemble small trumpets (if you have a splash panel you may need to remove this to view them). Chip - the chip will be inside your ECU which is located under the passenger kick plate - can't really help you identify it. Sorry I hope this helps a little in your quest for knowledge.

I agree with Andy. Clockwise is always clockwise but only if you are facing the bolt or screw otherwise clockwise becomes anticlockwise.

The only problem is that the lights are a little short on the edges so you get a litle lip from the wide wheel arches.

the mechanic will basically just insert welding tips into your waste pipes.
