  1. Don't know why on this freezing morning I decided to do a few bits on the Z -but there you go. Got a new fuel filter to chuck on and was just wondering if the old one will be under pressure and I will get a face full of petrol as I disconnect it? Also was going to give the AAC valve a little clean out as I did the throttle bodies a few weeks ago but not sure where this is or what it/they look like? at the back of the plenum? Thanks alot guys........ James.
  2. My starter motor went last year but wasn't that at first, a dud battery gives the same symtoms so checK that first! My local auto-electrician is pretty good and managed to replace just the necessary components inside the motor which saved me some of the green stuff. HTH James.
  3. All the details came up the other day. I'd do a search and I'm sure it'll be there.
  4. Sounds like its just the fuel pump priming up to me. Mine makes that noise and has done since I've had the car.
  5. Must be DOUBLE that to get a silver one as that is the best colour and therefore not as readily given out. LMFAO HEHEHE YEAH LOL
  6. ........every post gets me that 1 step nearer..........
  7. I think on the turn of every 1000th post Craig should send you a surprise gift. I've got a way to go but
  8. VERY GOOD!! made us all laugh in the office here!!! fkin funny man.
  9. Lexus Soarer's are very under-rated, give one a go. I knew of this performance car garage that lent out its tt Soarer to customers while they had their regular car. After 5 mins of them driving off they would get a phone call asking what the f*ck is this car !? I want one.......and these were customers that were dropping in 355's.
  10. :D will there be a test afterwards?
  11. RUST ??? you gotta go stainless! (I like the "loud" bit though!)
  12. I thought the blocks on Skyline's were bullet proof, being made out of cast steel or something? -which enables some monsters to have 1000 bhp. R32'S are often rated above the later 33's and 34's but in my opinion not in looks! And a car has to look good as well as go erm, good ! I think you should buy John's beast!
  13. Ok, so my mum hates it, she kinds of aims her bum at the passenger seat and then, in a do-or-die kind of fashion, falls into the car. My ex didn't like anything about it, the looks or the sound. I've had my Z nearly about 2 1/2 years and thats seen 2 girlfriends, both of which, on reflection, loved it at first but then after a while tried to make me sell it, saying how "my" money could be better spent! ...........they had to go.
  14. What is an AFR anyway ????? I want one.
  15. Yeah....... I was nearly sucked in there! (I wish) no.2, then "ribs" would get it, followed by 5 for novelty upside-down nipple fun!
  16. I'm only a semi-geek, as I'm not in IT but do occasionally play computer games on my PS2.
  17. Yeah-tell me more about msn!
  18. Ha ha!!! I haven't done any work for about two months now! "alt" & "tab" is quicker to minimise than moving the mouse! a lovely little trick when someone is coming! James.
  19. Welcome to this crazy place! The best thing you can do is to get in one and see what you think, obviously not in this weather though! Where abouts are you? Forget the 4 wheel steer-its sh1t, its so minimal you hardly notice it. Certainly doesn't help with the back coming out when you're giving it some welly. Mid-range on the TT in my opinion is what its all about! Still makes me smile after a couple of years. James.
  20. Stuart, I see you're not quite 30 yet cos I was gonna give you a number to insure the Z. As long as its over 10 years old you can chuck it on classic car insurance. Mine cost me £348 fully comp, but a few points are, it must be garaged, max annual mileage 5k, must have 2nd car.. and must be 30 or over. Not sure if these points apply to all classic car policy's or just to the co. I phoned for a quote. I seem to be pretty lucky with the t-tops aswell not leaking! but have been plenty unlucky with other things but at least I have the comfort of knowing almost EVERYTHING has been replaced, ie heater matrix, radiator, ptu, fuel pump, starter motor, elec fan, viscous fan, cam belt, air-con pump, poly bushes, etc etc .....fkin etc! Oh, did that temp sensor and hey presto, tickover sorted. That is everything electrical sorted now!
  21. Stu-just think of all that snow melting thru the leaky t-tops! .......and what's this on your insurance form........."garaged" ?????
  22. I think Castrol RS 10/60 is a bit of a favourite on here! Whatever you do, don't skimp on the oil -treat your Z!
  23. American, Russian and an Irishman are in a pub duscussing space travel. The American pipes up and says they lead the way, Neil Armstrong and all that. Russian says that his country are at the forefront of technology and are the force to be reckoned with. Irishman rubbishes what the other 2 have said and says that the Irish are sending a shuttle up to land on the sun, being the 1st ever to do so. The American and Russian both agree that the poor astronaut would burn to a cinder before getting anywhere near. Irishman says........... " We're not THAT daft..........we'd send him up at NIGHT!"
