Just thought I'd update my situation about me missing a cyl after tinkering about last weekend. Changed plugs this morning-can't believe that after 4 plug changes I've only just thought of taping the socket onto the end of extension bar so it doesn't remain in the cylinder when you've tightened plug back up and pull it back out!!!! Also checked connectiond to injectors, all seemed fine. So, 6 new plat plugs all in................. broooooom!! ahh, lovely, so don't really know what the cause was or what I had disturbed to cause the miss. Had already checked TPS during the week so that was set spot on and now idle's better than ever, which I would say has more to do with new fuel filter cos TPS wasn't really out of range on the volt test. Idle's at a James-pleasing 800 revs. Its a lovely feeling having it all lovely again. Just gonna pop over to Stuarts now (SMW1) so see ya and thanx a million for everyone's help!

Just a quick one about the mot. An ex of mine bought a mini privately and turned out to be a bucket of rust, with other dodgy things wrong and also a new mot. She went straight to the mot board/governing body and they were more than keen to know about the mot testing station passing an obvious "fail". One thing led to another and the mot garage had to do everything to make the car road worthy, free of charge.

Mine has been worse since 18's and 35 profile tyres, but will put up with it for the car to look the nuts. You gotta have thin rubber man!!

Yeah, from memory is a right awkward little fiddle to get that standard box off! a bit of a bend and push here and there and you'll have it off!!! If there's no swell or it is messy than I'll give you a shout! (not as if we get many waves in this toilet of a country as it is, so will be surfing if there is)

If you are getting the correct voltage readings from the TPS -can it still be playing up? what I mean is, are correct readings a definate sign that unit is peforming as it should?
