Mine was spinning just in "drive" with no acceleration! having that HOLD switch on helps a bit and I've got 285 rears!

A couple of months ago I asked the exact same question and got a comprehensive reply from a few of the guys that answered everything. Do a search maybe on ECU or my user name and all the info you desire will be there! OK, I'll find it for you and point you in the right direction.

You love 'em when they're running good and hate 'em when they're running sh1t!! Sorry to hear that mate. I reckon your best bet would be to find a Z being broken and stick with the auto box. This has got to be the cheapest option. Someone on here must be able to help you out. Good luck.

With Courtesy, I've also used them a few times and been taxed every time. Lovely little bill comes in the post a week or so later from FedEx. Bottom line is it still works out cheaper, especially those platinum plugs!! They deliver really quick aswell. Just soo f*ckin annoying being stitched for that tax!

One thing I've found with Elephant is that their "on-line" quote differs quite alot to when you actually proceed to take out the policy!! ie-loads more expensive! Maybe its better now as this was a while ago. If you're over 30 and your Z is over 10 years old -there is only one co. to call Insurance Factory. £348 fully comp (but you must have 2nd car aswell).

A-HA!!!!!!!! did a search and found a thread on a Z with the exact same problems as mine and he also noticed his elec fan was constantly on. On inspecting the temp sensor, the wiring to it was knackered and since having that done has been fine. So I checked mine cos I thought I could hear my fan on the other day-and thats the first time in 2 years! -and yes, wiring to it was knackered. I will get the soldering iron out this weekend and sort it. I reckon this will cure it... the advice on here comes up trumps again.

Stu-it doesn't feel hard at all, just only seems to burst into life until half-way down, but only when cold for first few mins. I will check all suggestions, thanks guys. I'm pretty sure there is a corroded wire sitting somewhere causing the problem and I am determined to find it cos other than that the Z drives perfect and have gone round the whole car sorting everything out!

I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be disappointed!! its a really good game. Buy it immediately.
