...........Help the Police --- beat yourself up.
  4. Wonder wot the boys in blue would think of THAT size plate??
  5. You're right, but some bits that I could see needed attention looked so fiddley -I just couldn't be bothered to get annoyed starting to do it. I have given my Z 100's of hours and this time thought I would let someone else do it!!
  6. Hmmm, when it comes to electrics, unless its something obvious, I generally leave well alone. And the more important factor is I haven't got the time, or a garage or or or or....... so I booked it in to the pro's at this stuff. I presume you can make up little looms, have access to switches, plugs, connectors, heat shrink etc and somewhere dry to do it all. They had my car for half a day, alot of the connectors were just so brittle they were snapping off and crumbling to bits, luckily they had others that could be used. The bill came to about £130 but some of that was to fix a problem with my horn. The co. is called METROLEC, in BECKENHAM, a landmark very near is the Crystal Palace tower. Their number is 020 8650 5363. Say James put you their way if you don't mind. 12 years ago when I was 18 I had a Ren5 gt turbo and had an under bonnet fire, it went to them and just couldn't believe what they did and have been going back since. James.
  7. Took the Z to an auto-electrician yesterday to get them to give all the under-bonnet wiring the once over, paying special attention to the throttle pos sensor, ptu, coils, etc etc, What a difference it has made, nice even tick over, seems to be more crisp aswell. It was something I had been putting off for ages but glad I got round to doing it, and not too much money either as its all labour and about 10p parts. Ahhh, lovely.

Well, half right isn't bad. When I fitted my induction kit I discovered that one of the blades on the elec fan had wedged completely in the little oil rad in front of it! not good.

The electric fan is just an aid to the main fan. It'll come on in traffic jams or after you've switched the engine off maybe on a hard run. I've never heard mine cut in since I've had the Z and thats a couple of years!
  10. The Z is my only car, can I borrow you're A to B'er to do the shopping then?
  11. Been jet-skiing for the past 3 years at Port Talbot aswell, now that is a laugh! is that far from you? I must admit, when you jump you're just waiting for that resistance of the parachute so you know you're not gonna die!!! Its all good fun, James.
  12. Cool. I'm working my way up to my first un-assisted 10,000 ft freefall at Headcorn. I'll have to take my camera-but will be too busy sh1tting it to take a photo!!! James.
  13. Nah, they're all gay and everyone has got em! There, that'll have to do for now, not my Z, but thought it looked nice!
  14. Oh.......well, haven't got one yet have I?? Will put a photo of my Z when all the work is done on it. Will be STRONG LIKE BULL don't worry!
  15. Thanks, I did go for the pipes at the time as they weren't many $$$$$$. Got my heater matrix from Courtesy for....... wait for it........... wait...... .........$92.00 thank-you very much. Plat plugs $50 set of 6. The pcv valves were $15. --then you get some stitch-up tax bill from FED-EX and you get FED-UP!

    No probs, no probs.
  18. Cheers Andy, nice one :D
  19. I would love to know what else they do! tell me, please, and I'm not being sarcastic. I was present.... in the reception area, they seemed keen to keep me there aswell. Suggesting people make up their own minds is just that, a suggestion. Saying you pay for their experience and for them taking an element of responsibilty for any subsequent problems, in MY opinion is defending them, or their price, which is the same thing. SE are just a sensitive issue for me, thats all. My mind is poisoned against them. No matter how experienced ANYONE is, £275 for 10 mins work in MY opinion is a rip-off. Take it easy Dave, the paragliding looks like a good crack! James.

  21. I've ordered some new PCV valves from Courtesy, but is it normaly the springs that go or would I get the springs aswell with my order? I did mention the springs to the guy I spoke to but he said the only other thing I may need were the little pipes. Anyone know? thanx.
  22. ONE ONE ONE ONE ONE ONE ONE ONE ONE ONE! :D :) :p
