  1. Looks a very clean example and best colour! Is your front screen tinted?
  2. How much did you get it for if you don't mind me asking?
  3. FAQ Section is your friend Converter
  4. I've heard of credit crunch but thats just insane, wouldnt the car drive and steer really bad due to this?
  5. The HKS ALP makes the autobox more responsive by keeping the pressure high all the time rather than under accellaration,, only way to understand the ecu is to have a look at the fuel maps in a conzult I guess.
  6. Not advisable for an amp, plus it needs its own fuse as near to the battery as possible.
  7. I think the majority on this is to take the passenger wheel arch liner out and you can run a cable through to the passenger footwell then down the sill as usual. do a search for "amp wire" and this is the general view.
  8. there should be a constant and switched 12v already there in the dash for the stereo.
  9. Its always nice to get those little niggles sorted out, they really can transform the characteristics of the car, mines all running tip top now, I have a chip and socket but really don't know if I want change the way it is, it has plenty enough power now its running correctly and they're old cars can't decide if the old girl could take a few more horses and still be as reliable as it is.
  10. nice article here if you're a creative type Double Din DIY
  11. Mines the same and on datascan the temps were a normal 80 ish degrees, there's not really much airflow around the engine bay but obviously it ok as mine is 20 years old still runs fine albeit a little brittle in places.
  12. Well a HD tv will have either 1920 or 1366 or 1024 pixels across, a DVD is 720 pixels across if your tv didnt scale the picture it would just be a small box in the middle, how well it does this depends on the TV but you can usually play around with the sharpness and processing to improve picture. Now addmitedly a dedicated DVD upscaler will possess better dedicated hardware to do this, but I still think they are very overated and marketed so, I guess i'm spoiled by the PS3's blueray drive. But like you say if its an improvement over what you had its got to be a good thing and certainly cheaper than a full HD BD setup
  13. If you have a HD TV this will upscale a DVD and SD tv by default, BlueRay 1080p has over 4x the amount of pixels a DVD has, this simply cannot be recreated by upscaling, I hate fancy marketing blurb that gets people to buy stuff like this.
  14. If the battery has been run completely flat they can struggle to hold a charge even overnight. No amount of charging would get mine to last anymore than a day so I got new one and all was fine.
  15. The random changing could possibly be the Throttle position sensor (TPS) I think theres a guide in the FAQ section on how to set it up.
  16. The black cover needs to be prized out slightly, if you have strong finger nails its possible, you need to pull outwards towards the side windows from the back of it then towards you, this is done as sitting in the car. Failing that if you break it I have a spare one.
  17. A new number plate would do wonders for it :wack: I prefer the smooth look to vented, but with a badge on it of course.
  18. have you lot never heard of BBC Iplayer ? its here any ways last weeks top gear
  19. It was on last weeks.
  20. theres definately more to life than beer, i used to be quite a heavy social drinker from the age 23-30 ish, i'm now 36 and have stopped smoking eat healthy, have a take away once a fortnight and the odd mac d's maybe once a month, have gone down from 16 st to about 14 and half im 6 4, would ideally like to get to 14. Its certainly all in the mind but once you get your head round the change of lifestyle theres no going back, i've got so much more energy, its still good to have a good blow out now and then though. Good luck with it!
  21. i would pick the x5 over those 3, but is just me or does anyone else get people in x5's wanting to traffic light race all the time, they seem to pull up in their tinted tank and floor it everywhere as though some kind of sports car!!!
  22. i love the 370z, looks like a back to basics all out sports car, the 350z always seem underpowered and a bit lardy to me, would definately buy one if I had that kind of money to spend.
  23. Looking at that makes me feel sick, its just a mess, bits of everything no real clear direction, its just too complicated on the eyes. The zed started out with a sleek body easy on the eyes and good to look at, its like one of those magic eye pictures that you just can't work out whats its ment to be.
  24. same as a uk one but they don't suffer from salt usage in Japan. Waxoyl injection is a good idea but I imagine its not cheap and the car has to be stripped a fairbit. You can just paint in on also but not as effective as they tend to rust from the inside out.
  25. haha nice story, but no matter how drunk you are Bucks Fizz are not fantastic in any way shape or form.
