  1. Well if you can guarantee no leaks I'll take it, I don't mind paying a bit extra for secure postage either. :hyper:
  2. Is the radiator prone to leaking where the fan shroud bolts in mine seems to be intermittantly leaking, changed top hose as thats the area but still leaks if I rock on the fan shroud it hisses and water dribbles out.. Either way its new radiator time :headvswal
  3. I've only ever driven my auto, and it operates perfectly never had no hitches, I think the big v6 suits the auto quite well and its pretty quick still. I like the benefits the auto gives such as the lazy town driving that I do mainly to work, does the manual give better control through the twisties, and i guess you've got alot more driver involvment factor?
  4. I think you should sit at your window looking for pikey thieving scum and shoot them in the arse rather than shooting defenseless wild animals.
  5. The s14a is a pretty good car with massive tuning potential, but agreed out the box it was very refined and restricted and aimed at the executive market, pricing was £24k back in the day. Some simple mods and its a massively fun car.
  6. just do it at night and wake up the whole neighborhood, it will be very very loud. :D
  7. These engines are strong but the ancilliries like hoses, cables and other mechanical based electronics are pushing 20 years old, you'll fine most problems on here are with the aged component issues, engine wise mines done 90km and still pulls like a train. Actual engine failures are few and far between in my experience on here, its usually down to other components.
  8. I like the HKS one I saw at Santa Pod earlier this year. Nice fat turbo on this baby. Really don't understand why Nissan never imported them officially.
  9. I've just swapped my top hose for a silcone one thinking it was leaking but its the radiator endtank, you can have it for price of P&P if it will get you by. I think they're around £40 new from MJP
  10. Lucky escape me thinks, just pray it hasnt caused any other damage, looking at an ecu pin out which pin has melted?
  11. Just checked on a spare auto ecu i have and there doesnt appear to be any pins missing on it.
  12. Standard auto is around 5.7 sec, bear in mind the zed weights 1580KG. Mine is a standard auto TT and I just about kept up with a proven 300bhp Focus ST upto 80mph from a standing start. So I would say yours could be down on power slightly.
  13. I feel the colour is okish on a zed, but I certainly wouldnt do it to such a fine example as yours.
  14. Ok when you say slow what sort of 0-60 figures are you getting, stock will be 5.5 sec on a good running manual zed, but it will still feel slower than a 400kg lighter car. My slighty modded s14a was running abit more than standard boost, and felt considerable quicker than my zed. Using a rough power to weight ratio calculator you would need appx 390fwhp to achievea 4.6sec 0-60 times. Obviously this is just numbers on paper real world figures would be harder to calculate.
  15. Saw a nice clean NA heading towards ladybrook around 10.30pm Wasnt in my zed though.
  16. But make sure over drive isnt off or you'll be waiting ages for 4th
  17. So this guys bringing a car for you to see and make your mind up. And is going to take it back if its not as described? Thats not going to happen is it. If its a salvage car off ebay I would really really go and see it.
  18. Thats a fair way out, I converted my jap clocks to uk and 50mph on the clock is about 48mph on sat nav. My CC is limited to 70 also.
  19. I find my tank gauge really accurate, i've never seen it go up though only down lol, I once managed to get 71 litres in it which I thought was quite impressive.
  20. Do not buy a car you havent seen in person. Just not worth the risk.
  21. Nice work but looks awful, the clean lines are lost, the rear bumper doesnt match the rest of it, needs to extend down more to match the skirts. Wide arch SWB's look a bit fat too.
  22. I've considered getting a daily driver too, as when my work places moves it will probably cost another £1k in fuel, but then I think to myself I've put a lot of money into getting it how I like it and keeping it well maintained and think sod it I may as well enjoy it all the time. But if your hearts not entirely in it and I think it has to be with this kinda of car due to the high maintenence/running cost when things go wrong why not consider a less expensive performance car as a permanent daily.
  23. This thread is de ja vu! Whats the reason for not using it?
  24. I didnt get chance to go this but I too was surprised at the ticket price.
