  1. Its the same with testing water/guaging interest threads, its either for sale or it isnt, it just wastes peoples time, people genuinely looking a car and then the buyer backs out. This is why i only buy and sell on forums that have these 2 rules Prices must be stated No guaging interest.
  2. Fully agree offers threads are pointless on forums, if you do your research you can check ebay or search to see what an item is selling for. What you think its worth and what people are willing to pay are usually far apart these days.
  3. Did mine last year with the full respray, done in satin black.
  4. 70-300 is usually regard as a good range for motorsport, i had some reasonable success with a cheap sigma one, when i say cheap it was around £170 rrp and was ok but not perfect. Cheaper ones will need good light and and a fairly good autofocus system. Not sure how good the D50 is but generally its best to get the best glass you can afford.
  5. It just leaves me wanting more though, need answers.............
  6. Ours is the same so annoying lol must be an old fashioned way of doing it. In my other house we had 3 switches on 3 floors that would all work the same light on the bottom floor independantly.
  7. I think £4.5 is a realistic price for what appears to be very nice uk example, they are getting rare and it has sensible mods and looks stock.
  8. will be have been in work 20 years this year, 1st job was computer design for a rubber stamp factory using quark express and original Mac II did that for 9 years, then worked in a call centre, then pcw world and now laptop repairs all under the DSG umbrella, will be 11 years this year, we are moving to a huge new workshop in Newark, I have been offered redundency but its a paltry 11k which i dont feel is worth it, so just gonna stick out the transfer and see how it goes. It is practically the same job but maybe repairing consoles and flat panels, i do find it abit unerving changing jobs tho.
  9. Saw you hooning just past the fox & crown pub, not one I'd seen before round this way.
  10. Has it been stood a while, mine will run on 5 for a few miles if its been left for 2 weeks or so, i guess its damp getting in the electrics, mine is a dodgy cable on a coil pack, but in daily use it does not show this symptom.
  11. No I bought it some time ago.
  12. Slightyly O/T but has anyone else notice thats had a zed for ages think they look small compared to modem cars. At one time when i parked up when i had it 8 years ago it seemed massive in the car parks next to other cars. Now it looks normal.
  13. If you download hirens boot cd and burn it on to a cd it has a password remover on it.
  14. Have to agree they look pretty good, much better than the usual fibre glass tat you see.
  15. The way my nephew was scammed was that he saw a nice ford focus for £800 retail was around £1200-£1500, guy had the excuse that he'd driven it to germany and needed to sell it as right hand drive was no good in germany. So he gets some pictures and a nice back story, agrees to buy it, he gets a vehicle shipping number, and a website to log into and track the progress. He sent the money via monerygram which states in big letters on the website "do not send money to people you don't know". The tracking website is fake, all the contact details are fake. Bang he's £800 out of pocket.
  16. My rather naive nephew got scammed from an autotrader ad to sum of £800, I wish he'd told me about it before he agreed to send the money by money gram grrrrr.
  17. I took one for a test a few years back when i was looking to get one, it just pulled effortless from any rev range and was ridiculously smooth. Downsides are sub 20 mpg avg, servicing is pretty steep also. I would only buy a face lift model sep 2000 i think was the change, has better steering wheel, widescreen satnav and vanos issues solved. Cheap ones are the ones without nav and the heritage leather which looks awfully old fashioned compared to the nappa sports seats. They seem to have gone back up in price over the last few months also.
  18. Never had a problem with my local one, they do get abit arsey if you don't give them a chasis number but I always give part numbers and never had any issues.
  19. Hi welcome. When you say the turbos aren't working are you getting any boost at all, it could be in safety boost which is simply a safety feature to hold the boost off.
  20. I feel for your teeth and spine :D
  21. I would say because the 300zx hasnt really been that much of a "scene" car be it with drifting or track racing, the silvias, ae86 toyotas, rx7s, were the big drift cars, GTR's were in the equivalent DTM in japan/australia. 300zx did make an appearance in imsa racing but until i'd seen the steve millen one i'd never even heard of imsa. Add to this the favourable and possibly cheaper/easier tuning of the skyline and supra engines the 300zx was kinda always the odd one out.
  22. Well i guess at the time going from a 1.6 mk3 cavalier that would do 35mpg this thing would do about 20mpg. So quite a shock was only 21 at the time.
  23. Used to have one of those 2.8 celica supras loved the LED dash in it, was damn thirsty tho.
  24. I thought ebay had ruled against selling digital media these days.
  25. thats one clean zed, hats off to the owner.
