Flock of seagulls?
ooh nasty, im so glad it wasnt summer and i'd left the roofs off, its all gone now thankfully the poles do a great car wash.

More than likely i will be now getting the nsx. some very rare parts may be for sale.
i love the 8 series but unless you have silly money the 840 4.4 v8 sport is the one to get, v12 is astronomical to service from what ive read on forums. alot of dealers indys won't even touch them.

Flock of seagulls?
i stood there dumb founded for at least 5 minutes, thought someone had spattered it with paint at first, but a car behind me had a smattering too, they must do synchronized dumping.

Opinions on this car and price please.
very nice example! Just looking at the 300's for sale I can't believe how many nasty kitted ones are out there. Solid standard ones are getting quite rare now it would seem.

can you hear the click?
If you don't have a/c then surely it doesnt matter, with A/c the revs are raised by 100 rpm so i assume the click is the valve opening without a/c it won't need to.

Low Petrol
I only ever use 95 in my import not had any problems, have tried 97s and 99s but doesnt make any difference that I can feel, I am running standard though and don't constantly thrash it, just have the odd blip here and there.

Laptop help, any gurus out there ?
white screen means the inverter is working but the lcd is getting no data signal, as suggested check the connector at the back of the lcd and also under the keyboard strip cover, does it work ok on an external vga monitor?

Low Petrol
Needle lies though I can get it lower than empty, I guess they did that so you don't run out, 200sx did the same could get that about 5mm below the empty line :)

Who else's Zed is running perfectly
Running sweet as a nut now, had some niggles like leaking radiator and worn rear hicas joints leaking tension rod bushes and a power steering leak but all fixed now. Its great to take it out and not worry about anything breaking now.

zx headgasket common
Have to agree with the others here, been on here a while and most head gasket failures arent usually down to the design itself, usually other factors cause it such as over heating caused by 20 year old perished pipes or just running silly boost with incorrect fuel maps. My zed is running perfectly now :)

classic insurance
Not really an option as I'm 35, tbh £463 aint too bad, main problem is its on street parking and NG postcode doesnt help, if i do it TPFT and no protected NCB it comes out about £350 but i think the extra 100 or so is worth it for piece of mind. Cheers for the heads up anyway

classic insurance
£585 with them would be £300 if it weren't import though.
-
classic insurance
Don't think will insure me as its a daily driver got it down to £463 so far.

Uk cleanest standard zed
Only thing I can't understand is why by a car like this and only do 19k miles in 16 years such a waste just sat there doing nothing.

The wiring to the injectors and coil packs can get brittle also, you can get replacement wiring/connectors to splice back in.

A/C removal
I find cars with aircon demist much faster than those with out in the winter, I personnally wouldn't buy a car without A/C its great on long journeys just to feel cool and refreshed.
