  1. yes you would but some people must fall for it, i had a nigerian send me fake emails saying payment had been made they looked very well done, i checked my account and nothing, they kept saying it was server delay and it was ok to send the parcel out. I got them to send pictures and all sorts to prove who they were, was well funny.
  2. Once you've learned what all the settings do and all the numbers you will have a shot in mind and be able to set the camera up to achieve the desired effect. This was the most rewarding factor to me, to be able to use its til its full potential, only your creative genius is the limit once you know how it all works.
  3. Yeah it was to me too til i read up on it, have a look on this site, there are 10 lesson that explain all the numbers and techniques for improving. http://box115.morguefile.com/docs/Classroom Best to use either aperture priority or shutter priority, that gives you control over the depth of field, and shutter priority will allow you to set the shutter speed for fast action or long exposures for light trails :)
  4. The specs say the 300d can take 2.5 fps upto a maximum of 4 before the buffer is full, so a mega fast card won't make much difference, so I wouldnt buy the fastest available card as the camera will be only chucking out around 16mb per second.
  5. Well the 3.5-5.6 means that at the wider angle of 18mm you can have an aperture of f3.5 then getting smaller at the 50mm end at f5.6, a wider aperture (smaller number) will give a shallow depth of field ie less of the shot will be in focus away from the actual focus point, so if you want to take landscapes for example you want more in focus so you would use a higher f number such as f8-f11. The lower the f number will let in more light so you can use a lower iso number, and higher shutter speed to freeze the action, which is better for less grainy images, iso above 800 will introduce noise, nothing that some noise reduction cant handle though. Keep an eye on shutter speed also it should be at least the same as the focal length or faster.
  6. What lenses have you got with it, the canon 50mm f1.8 is a nice little lens for £70 new, has a really wide aperture so is good for taking shots in low light and getting a shallow depth of field. Heres one from a go kart track, its nice for making the subject pop out from the background.
  7. Well it doesnt wallow about and it rides fairly firm but not bone shatteringly so, I wouldnt want it any harder for a daily driver. I will get it tracked with some new track rod ends they are about ready for replacing anyway, and then look into the camber. Cheers for the advice.
  8. I do like the current height see recent pic, would new lowering springs and adjustable upper arms be the way forward? Wouldnt want it sitting any higher like you say it would have that off road look.
  9. It is possible, i've had the car 8 years and don't know when it was changed if ever it was, seems ok though no excessive rebound or anything, it does look lower than stock I must admit.
  10. I have the uk panels with the slots for the belts straight swapped them out, just didnt have the window trim but it's only one hole to drill.
  11. Well I printed the pic out and offered it up, drilled a small hole and it went in deep so gathered I'd hit the spot, increased the drill bit and it was spot on no need to take the panel off. One side installed, next side after lunch :gunsmilie:
  12. I just noticed mine yesterday, they are very bad on the insides, so much so that I'm getting new tyres today, as far as I know my suspension is standard but the wheels are 18" would this alone cause the excessive wear? Obviously I don't want to these to go the same route.
  13. From looking at a couple of threads it seems I need to take out the rear upright and bench seat and then the rear side panels, and drill a hole in the window surround trim, can I do this with it in situ or have I GOT to take it off? Obviously I'll need a position on where to drill the hole in the trim does anyone have a picture of one handy?
  14. There was some interest in Dazvert's, hopefully this will make the same kind of money.
  15. amen to that
  16. Which model do you have, I have a 50D and it has LIVEVIEW so you can view the image on the LCD, and also zoom in, its great for macro and close up using manual focus lenses, but just get used to using the viewfinder its much better and also you can hold it steadier by tucking your arms in close to your chest.
  17. Nice enough wheels, but not over keen on them on a zed, they seem more at home on a german marque imo. The zed is such a fussy car when in comes to wheels I think. They either make it or break it.
  18. Great article, I love engines so clean you can eat your dinner off them.
  19. Very nice looking zed but the fit on the rear spoiler would niggle me, its not quite perfect, needs a new stearing wheel too.
  20. yeah its hard work, first time i did some it felt like my heart was in my mouth, I was pretty much almost sick halfway through, just doing the usual gym stuff don't know the technical names, lots of jumping about, star jumps, sprint running etc. A few weeks into though I did feel 10 years younger.
  21. Why would you not want to use aircon for demist, it clears much faster, will it also you to turn the aircon off even on a series 2 while in demist mode?
  22. Maybe you have some play in either the gear box mount or the propshaft bearing mine tends to do this also.
  23. usually a dry joint on the speedo circuitry, it can be fixed by resoldering but i swapped mine out and no problems since.
