Some thoughts on antifreeze for the zed!
I just assumed all the coolant leaks were down to 15-20 year old rubber, i got my zed 8 years ago and now all old rubber hoses have been replaced and plenum bypass done, it doesnt lose a drop.

Z Boot Compartment
It think there are either 2 or 3 bits of hard board, fairly easy to work out where they go as they have little cut outs that line up with the inserts, see left pic for example.

Z Boot Compartment
Left side like this Right side like this, tools in polystyrene insert are jack, two wheel chocks and a wrench. Targa straps and bags go like this, though to be honest i never use the straps, just stick them in the bag and the weight stops them moving.

miles per gallon
Light comes on at appx 10 litres left, i can do about 35 miles safely when it comes on solid rather than flickering on and off. You guys are getting some good mpg figures, my standard TT auto is just scraping 26mpg motorway and currently 19mpg for the work commute which is 44mile round trip on country A roads.

small rad 1993 tt j spec auto
i think its the engine oil cooler, autos didnt have a transmission oil cooler, it was built into the radiator.

Couple of questions on dash lights
Fog light button is for front fogs if its a jap import. Hicas light means either a fault with the system, or low power steering fluid usually this. Eco when lit means the air con is not in use, and the other one is recirculation, so air is not drawn from the outside. not sure on the gear box light.

Safety boost in hot weather
Are you running stock map/ecu?

Safety boost in hot weather
Also i didn't think the dett error cleared until you take the battery off for half an hour or so, but I could be wrong.

Safety boost in hot weather
Dett sensor is bypassed and I'm running 99 super.

Safety boost in hot weather
I noticed the other day coming home from work, ambient temp around 22 degrees the car would not hit max boost, however today the car was fine with temps being lower. Now I know there is a minimum limit for safety boost but is there a maximum temp? The car is not overheating or encoutering any other problems. Standard jap auto no mods other than zorst and airfilters.

i-phone or sony erricson experia x-10
They are in no way a copy of the iphone, HTC smartphones have been around for donkeys years, I've had a C500, a tytn and a diamond, now have a HD2, never had a problem with any of them. Plus i can put what i want on it and whenever no crappy itunes to hamper the process. Apple just have a very shrewd marketing structure were they release a very basic version, and gradually release new versions with very slight changes and everyone upgrades. Its poor value for the user but great for Apple. My HD2 has a spec list as long as your arm and is everyway better than an iphone 3gs, £25 pm with ulimited text 600mins and unlimited internet.

Fairlady
Imports were badged both fairlady on the tailgate and 300zx on the centre panel.

dear lord - go single exit!
Single exit exhausts just don't suit these cars imo. But like you say each to their own.

Interesting Z32 fact for you.

Well Happy! iPhone 4
apple finally catch up with a camera flash, forward facing camera (that no one will use) and multitasking, yet they sell it as inovative and revolution technology, its been around for donkeys years, i feel sorry for the people that buy into this.

Braided hose. Fuel
2 metres worth will do it easy as its usually sold by the metre.

DE-Cat
Pretty sure from reading several posts on this topic that 300zx is not on the cat database so gets tested as a non cat model regardless of import/uk year model etc.

Calling Photography Fans
Edit that should say .6s for focusing.

Calling Photography Fans
The TZ7 isn't an SLR its classed as a point and shoot, SLR or Digital SLR these days have huge sensors compared to P&S cameras, the bigger the sensor the better the image quality and also the level of creativity increases also shutter is practically instant. A TZ7 sensor is appx 28mm coverage, an entry level canon DSLR is around 328mm so tiny in comparison. Checking the specs the focus time on the TZ7 is appx. 6s so fairly good but not ideal for fast moving subjects. Have a look through these flickr groups taken with the TZ7 some nice examples. http://www.flickr.com/groups/1026475@N24/
