  1. Source No i'm not i've just seen lots of class posts, posted on other websites, they are hilarious though.
  2. Yeah its a parody site, but i'm pretty sure there are genuine people that have these kinds of views, only in america.
  3. I'm in Mansfield and should be available on saturday pretty much all day.
  4. Refurbed ones are normally fine, but they are usually for home delivery only, not sure if you can use your vouchers over the web though. The current range of Toshiba's are pretty crap imo, pretty poor build quality, the Acers have improved loads, Packard bell were bought by Acer so should be a good bet, at this range the own brand Advent/ESytem are probably best spec for money and aren't too bad on the build quality reliability front.
  5. Give it another 10 years and the well looked after examples will be worth alot of money, there are too many around and they are very expensive to maintain to make them a worthwhile investment car. I don't think what top gear are doing is a bad thing any publicity is good publicity in my opinion, we know we have something special above the normal run of the mill car and thats all that matters.
  6. revs should go up by 100 rpm not drop, the ECON button will turn the a/c off but it comes on as standard when set to defrost, i find when on auto mode and set the temp to 20 it normally does a good job of directing air to the right places, this is providing all your sensors are working correctly as its a very complicated system using its own ecu to take readings from the doors, cabin sensor in the overhead lights console and sunshine sensor on the dash vents.
  7. glad your all ok, similar damage happened to mine, fairly easy repair for a good bodyshop, but the lip on the rear panel is tight with the bumper so extra car needed when repairing this, i feel it would be written off if you went through insurers. Good luck with it.
  8. I remember last year in spain some drunk lout giving it large to the local police force thinking he was all that, he kept running at them threateningly lashing out, he'd been fighting in a bar and he was covered in blood but just didnt give up, one of them just punched him in the nose with a swift jab and knocked him to the floor, carried him off to the van job done. There was huge cheer and applause from the people watching, everyone was shouting at the lout to give it up, but obviously too thick to realise it would only end in tears.
  9. They might have changed the pipes but what tends to happen is they pull the old pipes off and this weakens them as they're held on with spring clips, they look ok but will generally just hiss to start with then suddendly burst ive 2 do this. you can normally just put your hand behind them and feel the steam or water hissing.
  10. most common cause is the 2 pipes that connect to the heater matrix, right at the back in the centre, they're fiddly to do but don't need engine out, these are quite common so would check these first.
  11. Reading the BBC website it would appear the guy had a run in with bouncers and assaulted an officer, and resisting arrest whilst on the ground, he got what he asked for imo, police acted accordingly, if people didnt get drunk and disorderly and go on one in a busy town centre like Nottingham these kinds of things wouldn't happen.
  12. the iplayer desktop seem to do what your asking, then just rip the audio out
  13. Anyone going to this on the 20th & 21st June this weekend?
  14. Yep just don't put it all the way in, I can brim mine without it clicking off using this method, 18mpg is about right for normal town driving, i can get 26 on mway.
  15. It's also so case of credit crunch outways sentiment, as rare and as nice as this shell is (was) its just a nicely shaped piece of steel, glad I got to see it in the flesh before it was sent off to be recycled.
  16. it did come in 2jz-ge form with vvti and also the 1jz-gte got vvti in 96, so you were kinda of correct stenorth
  17. One thing i've come across is that these were never called lexus in JDM form but Toyota, so why do people rebadge them as Lexus, a brand which was only available in USDM and would be LHD.
  18. mis firing could be something simple as a dodgy coil pack connector, mine started up first time after being stood well over 2 years, changed all the fluids and 6 months later its still running fine, sounds like it doesnt need that much to get running.
  19. I like these but they look quite dull standad, a subtle kit makes all the difference, but they look like an overweight 200sx and probably half the fun to drive.
  20. I'll be going. usually some very good stuff there, and some classic fords too.
  21. yeah they are a tight fit but the 9 board i fitted has been fine for quite a few months now, plus it doesnt kill your battery if you forget to switch it off!
  22. usual culprit is the pipes around the fuel pressure regulator, have some one start it up while you've got your head under the bonnet, its on the right in between the plenum pipes, pipe underneath is hard to see.
  23. you need a 31mm festoon for the interior light, not sure what you need for the maplights though something like this led
  24. Great post, I used to love looking through the options books when i was a kid from the brochures sad I know lol, has anyone every priced up the ski rack from nissan or is it no longer available, wouldnt mind one be great for the MTB.
  25. happy bday mate we just managed to get a cake big enough to fit all the candles on :hyper:
