  1. Zedworld also keep records of work carried out so give them a ring.
  2. I just priced those bits up from microdirect as i tend not to use ebuyer Ram will be 2 x 512 ddr pc 2100 sodims unless it will take a single stick of 1GB but they werent very common until now and maybe compatability issues Cpu just have a look on ebay for a "working" pentium 4 2.8 or 3.0 Hard drive is pata(ide) 2.5" notebook spec. they are quite pricey now so would probably go as big as you can afford as it works out cheaper per gig now unless there is a hatch on the base plate giving access to the cpu it might need a full strip down which is fine if your ok with this sort of work but is quite daunting to the novice. HTH
  3. I'll be at work in an hour mending laptops :( I love it really its pretty cushy can browse internet and watch dvds while I'm working so it never gets boring.
  4. You can upgrade the RAM, CPU possibly to 2.8 or 3Ghz, hard drive no problem, cd not really worth it. Laptop motherboards aren't to a set standard and are completely different for each manufacturer and model, well some models share but would be expensive to buy a higher spec board if it existed. your looking at around £40 for 1gig memory £12 for cpu about £40 for a 80 gb hard drive. If its just for internet and general use I would keep it as it is, as uprading it won't really make that much noticable difference. The ram would give most usuable benifit.
  5. A couple I took at karting today the standing water made it fun!
  6. Best vauxhaulls of the 80s were the astra GTE 16v and Carlton GSi 3.0 24v, sutble styling and great engines.

  8. Nothing to do with Luke other than being in Nottingham its owned by someone else
  9. Had quite abit of work done there and very happy with the results, Dave certainly knows his stuff have every confidence in them.
  10. will watch hi def tomorrow after work also, this series has been really good, lots of the mysteries solved and the story moved along at a good pace, I think i've got the gist of the time travel physics now, still wondering how Richard Alpert never ages and the mystery of the Temple still to be revealed, but I guess thats for next series, tonights double bill is all about the "Incident" it would seem going by the title :)
  11. If the power steering has been run low due to leaking for a long time it can damage the pump I have been told.
  12. I don't notice it, my res is 1920 x 1200
  13. Looks pretty good with your interior and matches the other shiney bits, compliments it well. Off topic but where did you get your panels retrimmed and how much did it cost?
  14. depends what your after, Si just picked up some uk clocks for peanuts, usual rate is £100, I think generally they are getting cheaper for 2nd hand if you know the right sources, ebay is abit of a mine field as the range for certain parts is massive, take headlights for example, but after market parts are going up due to weak pound and cost of shipping.
  15. I thought about the rings but definately prefer the stock look, however i do think they look great with the silver clock faces, they just look abit OTT with the black.
  16. Looks like darth vaders helmet or something, I do find it rather saddening to see such a beautifully designed car treated like this, but each to their own, I just don't see how any of these styling mods enhance the looks of the car.
  17. looks good but I would level up the horizon by rotating it.
  18. will an auto take the supposed 450bhp tune?
