  1. The standard Series 1 spoiler will cover it but I would go for the smooth look with a perspex strip
  2. Thought I would post these here as it gets more views :D A good turn out and some nice cars :duffer:
  3. It was my first meet and it typically the weather rained its arse off but the sun came out after we'd filled our bellies :) but was good to see some fellow zedders. Will post some pictures once i've sorted through them and straightened them up :wack:
  4. Well we have clear blue skies but its a bit windy, I'm gonna give the car a good wash and head on down for 12.
  5. what about this 500-550 bhp monster auto they don't list any engine mods though and what is the "Switch to Transfer Power to Front, Rear or All Wheels" all about does it have 4WD ???? Monster
  6. mine did this and it was down to a dodgy ecu preventing the Idle Air Control Valve from working, also my TPS was out also. Idle should be around 750-850rpm. I would suggest a conzult or similar check to make sure everythings set up correctly.
  7. great cars but I hear the servicing is costly at 4500 intervals have a look here FAQs
  8. Ive just got a Blazt cable and i'm running it on win xp via a pci express 2 serial and have tried several of the free programs that it supports namely OBD scantech, Datascan, and ecutalk, the comport is installed ok but the only program that works properly is ecutalk this displays all the gauges properly in real time no delays or anything but when i try to use scantech or datascan when it queries it just seem to either load the cpu to 100% or quit completely. So this tells me that the com port is working fine if ecutalk can get data ok but i cannot workout whats going wrong with the other 2 programs obviously i dont want to fork out for a datascan licence if it wont work with this converter :headvswal Anyone got any ideas, I guess i could get a serial laptop but this still doesnt explain why ecutalk works fine though.

I had one for 4 years while the zed was off the road mildly modded to appx 230 bhp and it felt much tighter and nimbler that my zed, although it was 10 years newer, they're a great drivers car and don't suffer too many problems, common ones are VVT rattle on start up, turbo gaskets go around 120k, rocker gasket leaks, fuel pumps can fail on modded cars best to upgrade with a walbro. That appears to have had some work done so should be a good runner. It does seem overpriced though even at 3900 in all honesty. That green is one of the worst colours for a 200sx I know its personal preference but the black, blue and reds tend to suit the car better.
  10. depends how bad it is but i refurbed a set of old supra wheels years ago just by sanding the paint and laquer down to the metal and filling any deep corrosion and scuffs then had them repainted and laquered came out pretty good, obviously the more time and effort you put in the better the finished results certainly cheaper than getting them professionally done.
  11. pretty much how i felt mine was nearly 3 years off the road but after a few hours driving, it all came back, the buzz and the enthusiasm. I think you will find you love it again but to be aprehensive is normal I guess, its like meeting up with an old friend.
  12. mine did this, swapped the clocks for uk ones and all fine, its probably a dry joint causing intermittant reading.
  13. Did the guy at Veilside have a really small penis, those VS kits really don't suit the Z32 lines at all.:hurl:
  14. I'm an avid fan of lost but its best not to take it too seriously and try working everything out, i used to do that and it did my head in now I just take each episode in turn. But for many answers check out here Lost blog
  15. one round the back is good for 30+ cars, its bigger than the Trading post.
  16. As the Z32 MAF is an upgrade for the 200sx they (SXOC forum) looked into a group buy on these and several were tested by swapping out a genuine z32 MAF and one of these ebay jobs and they concluded they were crap, also some skyline owners said "they overfuelled like crazy when goin on boost"
  17. would standard turbos make 20psi?
  18. I should be able to get to this one I'll bring my DSLR hopefully get some good pictures.
  19. Accord Type R, a very overlooked car but a cracking one, should just scrape 30mpg
  20. Ah no worries, was just curious I repair laptops and some can be a real pain, makes you wonder what the designers were thinking :mac1:
  21. Most sub £400 laptops will be celeron which are abit slower than the Core duo equivalent clock speed, all it depends what you want it for but I would try stretch a bit further and avoid celeron based ones. Which HP was it laptop was it murt?
  22. have you tried lowering your seat :wack:
  23. I would recommend using a drying towel over a chamois it will leave no smears or streaks at all, you can get them from cleanyourcar.co.uk also get a decent lambs wool wash mitt far better than a sponge
