  1. is the black outer surface transparant in order to let light shine through?
  2. when you pull the lever to open the hatch should it return to horizontal position, i have to push mine back or else the hatch won't close?
  3. I'm in the process of selling mine but not an auto, can get around 32mpg on a long run around 25 ish normal and as low as 22 caning it constantly which i didnt really do. But usually around 300 miles to a tank which is 65 litres. I got through 2 track rod ends, 2 sets of pads only recently replaced, 1 set of discs, a starter motor, turbo gasket (this is a common fault on 100k+ cars) not a difficult job about 4 hours so can be expensive if you pay a garage, bottom ball joint. This was in 4 years of owner ship and it was a high miler 140k+. Can't fault it really still drives tight and boost well now. Just make sure regular oil changes are done. Its great car but can't speak of the auto specifics.
  4. You might need some Sun also
  5. had some new bosch ones on mine silent and squeak free. Don't buy cheap wipers i did that on my last car and they were crap.
  6. I looked into getting an M5 make sure its had a recent clutch, appx £700 from an indy £1200 from main dealer. Mental cars though would still get one if I hadnt found new enthusiasm for the Z again.
  7. just replaced mine, well worth it, they do get tatty over time.
  8. sounds good, any pictures. Would like to see how low it fits. cheers
  9. Whats your thought on it quality wise? The exchange rate was better back then
  10. I've never had a problem with the series 1 set it to 21-23 car warms up nice and comfortable. Seems to do its intended job.
  11. Make sure your next breakers a manual then and flog it for 60 quid :duffer:
  12. The Navan is nice and i feel that the only thing interior wise that lets the auto down apart from being an auto is the selector, i had a Razor (sp) one ages ago but sold it before fitting it as i thought it was far too shiny. I can't find any subtle ones other than this one, i cant stand shiny chrome plastic affairs.
  13. Has anyone fitted one of these to a Z32, i've messaged the guy but no response. Work out about £85 quid with postage. Is this too much? Carbon Fibre Selector
  14. I've ran on BP 95 bp super and tesco 99 still the same, I would think its the fuel map of some sort as it seems to be over fueling when off throttle but moving. Stationary fine, part/full throttle fine.
  15. mine does this but its an auto, if i take foot off and just coast its like blub blub ok again blub blub as soon as i touch throttle by the slightest its smooth as anything. When im stationary and its idling its fine also no lumpy tickover or anything. Quite baffling.
  16. also have a read of the FAQ's on what to look for, these aren't simple cars and can end up costing a lot of time and money to run but the drive and ownership is rewarding. And they're pretty thirsty too probably avg around 20mpg or less !!
  17. agreed very nice looking motor.
  18. Cheapest i got was through Chaucer for an import
  19. its the thin lip around the battery like a little jacket i guess.
  20. looking good:dance: I've recently ditched the normal bucket and sponge method of washing cars and taken some advice in a car cleaning thread I read. I now use a lambswool wash mitt 2 buckets one with car shampoo, one clean, and a waffle weave drying towel. Basically Rinse car with hose/pressure washer to get of all the big debris/grit wash panel at a time rinsing mitt in clean water, this prevents scratches better rinse with clean water again when whole car is washed. then dry off with drying towel rather than a chamois, this gives a streak free even finish i still need to polish and wax mine when we get some better wether/light but i was amazed what a diference swapping the old sponge out made. What do you guys use?
  21. if its auto climite have a look from page 112 onwards, autodiags bit of a mine field though!
  22. Some of the dodgy zeds currently on ebay and pistons heads should be destroyed in my opinion as they've already been wrecked, but if they wrecked a perfectly good one it would be a shame and pointless, but top gear is all about wow factor and being cool.
  23. I would figure aftermarket as I don't recall seeing anything in the service manual regarding sunroofs.
  24. Didnt realise the zed had a battery cover as standard tbh, i've seen after market ones from Greddy etc this is what I thought you were refering to. But in any case that 068 i linked to won't fit the battery cover you specified, whether this is an oversize one i'm not sure as the standard replacment part for the zed is an 068 is it not? Its all abit confusing for something so simple.
  25. When you say battery cover is this an aftermarket item? The 068 i have fits in the standard battery tray fine just wanted to make sure we're talking about the same thing.
