  1. it sure does improve engine braking with it off, you get non whatsover with overdrive on. edit: so basically no its not a form of engine braking
  2. What is the "proper" fix as mine is fading in and out and also doesnt keep time.
  3. its good to be back on the forum some new faces and some old, hope everyone has a good one ! merry xmas !
  4. i think on compaqs if you keep tapping F11 as soon as you turn it on is should boot into the recovery menu and you want destructive type recovery this will clear all data and reinstall the OS
  5. there is a guide in the FAQ section but it won't be something you can do yourself if you have no car experience, its a very fiddly and awkward job, search for a recent thread on primera matrixes they are much cheaper and require a little modification to fit.
  6. Went past the Carnarvon Pub today gave you a wave as you flashed Was pretty weird as i was sat in the pub thinking i've not seen one for ages then one comes past, telepathic me :D
  7. have a look in the online service manual manual
  8. the look on the right kids face is rather menacing :D kinda dont **** with me
  9. brings a whole new meaning to the term coilovers!:headvswal
  10. doesnt have carbon fibre stereo surround or was this an option too?
  11. i think switching to carbs would be cheaper :)
  12. i would have thought they'd be fine once modded, if you get some report back how you go on.
  13. theres a note at the bottom of the injector plug link that says they will fit z32 but have to be dremmeled to fit.
  14. another vote for falkens great tyres for the price , very good in the wet too.
  15. Not seen the one on pleasley but it could the same one, its still at the garage though sounds about right for zed hehe. I've only just got my zed back on the road this last month been away from the forums for sometime, hope to get to some meets next year though.
  16. i think with any car thats generally a hobby its all part of the fun doing the work and seeing it progress, most people want to start low and build up as they can afford it. Having had one for 6 years now i would gladly buy one pre-modded but it would have to be to my personal tastes and i think this is where the problem lies, everyones are different.
  17. he's owned these nissans according to the list NISSAN NIS SSSX BK9433 KRU12600492 NIS PRESIDENT BP1139 JHG50005628 NIS PRESIDENT BP1178 JHG50005633 NIS PRESIDENT BP1129 JHG50004891 NIS PRESIDENT BP1088 JHG50004842 NIS PRESIDENT BP1028 JHG50004721 NIS PRESIDENT BM513 JHG50004883 NIS 300ZX BM7890 HZ32000178 NIS SKYLINE BM7575 BNR32301726 NIS 300ZX KE8888 GCZ32516695 NIS 300ZX BF5555 H231300003 NIS PRESIDENT BP1128 JHG50004868 NIS PRESIDENT BP1138 JHG50005596 NIS PRESIDENT BP1029 JHG50004838 NIS PRESIDENT BP1089 JHG50004853 NIS SSSX BL5612 CRU121600509 NIS SKYLINE BK575 NIS 300ZX KE9999 GCZ3516782 NIS 300ZX KE8575 JN10RGZ32U0001939 NIS CARAVAN BM9857 KEE24051660 NIS CARAVAN BM9856 KEE24051659 NIS CARAVAN BM9858 KEE24051291 NIS 300ZX BM700 HZ32-000085 NIS NISSAN GT E971HLO JN10NMD2100002099 NIS CARAVAN BM9859 KEE24051293 NIS 300ZX KC1953 JN10RGZ32U0002036 NIS GT SEDAN BC724 MGC210010883 NIS SERENA BM4799 ABAC23000523
  18. anyone know what size pipe/length and type i need to replace the leaking one, its making my alternator squeal like a bitch when cold. Is it a pig to do?
  19. Heater matrix .... done! Black leather seats restored and conditioned....Done! Interior panel retrim in alcantara......To do Fix PAS leak, targa leaks....To do Replace worn steering wheel.....To do thats the main things anyway
  20. zeds getting quite a reputation in the xxx film industry
  21. I resubbed just recently now the cars back on the road after a 3 year break, its still got its quirkyness and niggles but loving it again, this is a good community ive met a few people at thorsby and bought some 2nd hand parts off folks its all good and helps keep another zed on the road, i think without this help we give each other lots of owners would give up and scrap but theres good support and a friendly feel to this forum.
  22. is your ambient temp reading correctly if its reading wrong the ecu will compensate by chucking too much fuel in, mine was doing this and i cleaned the sensor now its fine
  23. what type pipe can i use to replace this as mines leaking also, do i need to order one from nissan?
  24. I was going to get an e39 M5 back in march but as prices started tumbling with the apparent credit crunch i held off, they are now around 2k cheaper, test drove a few and they are an animal but much more refined than the zed. Is this a pre-facelift with angel eyes retro fitted?
  25. I think this new 370z looks much better than the 350z, the 350z looked a bit hairdresser IMO and this looks a return to form, more agressive styling, hi tec interior and decent power too, good to see Nissan back on track.
