Well, I woz daaan Saaafend seafrunt last night... the old bill was telling people to turn their soddin' front fogs off but not pulling anyone up for having neons. The racing between speed cameras was kinda interesting... two Skylines and an Evo-6 giving it some :) Can't remember what it was (a Scooby?) pulled up and parked next to us with a flamer kit... now /they're/ impressive :D You wanna hook me up with a set of neons Stu? I reckon they'd look the b*ll*cks on the Mondeo! ;)

OK, so I need to take some good ones first. My two broken standard pistons look pretty screwed... kinda like yours but with more bits missing. And my broken forged piston looks like an aloooominum volcanoe's exploded. Stu might have a pic of that. I need to drop back into SE to get pics of the others. But I'll be there again in the week. Did they show you the piston (dunno who's it was) with the thumb-sized hole in the side of it?! Damn!

At the risk of sounding a bit camp, I ran my finger along your crack the other day, and it felt tight enough that nothing was gonna fall out. Still, they reckoned you can't have even been trying. If you wanna see an awesome hole I could probably put up some impressive pics :)

This is gonna sound a bit stupid, but I'm kinda hoping my box will live a bit longer if I don't keep doing hard kick-downs all the time. I don't think it's the peak bhp that's the problem - it's where the torque is on such a massive rise that the poor box is gonna be straining. We'll see. Stillen engine?! You might wanna try checking out peoples rides in the rides section (RIDES at the top/middle of the page). Generally people list their mods and a few pics. I reckon it'd be a good idea to go back to the poll thread and get a list of people who'd be willing to attend... possibly giving them a rough date they should expect to be around. And of course, everyone wants to know how much cash they're gonna get, where it's gonna happen, and what hotel they're gonna be put up in for the event ;)

Totally top car! A bit too much money tho - just under Ferrari 360 money?! Should've been called the GT44, seeing as they added 4 inches ;) I'd f'kin love one. Mid-mounted supercharged V8... hmmm. Being a cheapskate, I'd agree with chunk - a nicely made replica of the original might be better cos you can decide all your own options (suspension set-up etc) for a lot less cash. That GT3 was nice, wasn't it :) Can't forgive them for the complete lack of view of the engine tho!

I've got a mate who puts on proper displays - I helped him set up one year. The shells they use don't have all that fancy packaging (metal bits?!). It's some scary sh*t making sure they don't all set each other off tho. I'd be fully up for professionals putting on displays at one (or maybe a couple) of weekends, and a complete ban on sale to the general public. I looked out the window one year to see kids letting off rockets just across the road from my car! It's not just this time of year tho - around here people let off fireworks all year round - peoples birthdays, barbecues, new year... FFS! Grumpy-old-man-rant over ;)
