Oh dear. Still, look on the bright side: road-kill rabbit for dinner would surely sort that hangover out! :) I hit a pheasant once with a police car coming the other way. I'm sure there's some funny law where you're not allowed to keep them, but if you jank it out the rad and leave it by the side of the road, anyone else can have it. I never found the head :confused:

Nice to be reminded what it's like driving a Zed! I went out for a ride in mine the other day (as a passenger!) and I was over the moon with that... at zero boost and 12 miles on the engine! Can't fickin' wait now. Be sure to take your time learning the limits of your new motor! And enjoy that new toy feeling - I couldn't sleep for weeks when I first got mine ;)

Can't remember how much but Kahn ones aren't much better. Some thieving f*cking shyte-head nicked two of mine! After that I formulated a plan to have some made that are perfectly smooth apart from a razor edge to slice up thieving fingers.

I hear what you're saying, but around my way (maybe Mike Groves can back me up) the local law seems to have a lot more respect for my car than all the boy-racers in Saxos. I've got pulled twice in 4 years (5 years?) - once on Southend seafront a week after I bought it (they were pulling up everyone to check insurance), and the other time I pulled out of a junction and did a huge broady... right in front of an old bill car I hadn't seen. Oops. I still only got a huge grilling from a rather short police-laydee (she was pretty too, dammit) and a 7-day wonder.

Still reckon the scariest thing to happen in my Z was the throttle getting stuck full on. Sounds like I'm the only person this has happened to tho. Or maybe everyone else is brown-bread?! Apparently it can happen to any of them tho... worth keeping an eye on how far out those pipes coming from the rocker-cover are protruding.

I /need/ a set of late spec, but my I dunno if my standard ones are worth anything. It's not like you could refurb them is it?

It's daft trying to categorise some music - what's Prodigy classed as? What the heck class is Limp Bizkit?! I just like good sh*t but you h'aint got a box for that. The tracks on the other thread speak for themselves. You don't like that sort of stuff?... no problem. You like it more soulful and relaxing - it's all good! It's not like I'm gonna be cruising around blaring "crazy sh*t" at da huneez. If you wanna roll about making chicks look at you in your flash motor, that's great. Do what you enjoy... listen to what you like. Someones taste in music aint worth fighting about. Well, not unless they're forcing you to listen to it and you hate the sh*t!

This thing about Z owners liking rock music... I wouldn't say I'm totally narrow-minded and /only/ listen to that stuff. But like someone said, a kind of music can suit a car. But also it needs to suit what you're doing in a car. Fas has a point. If you go out cruizing for huneez then stick something appropriate on. That aint what my car's for. It's for going out and pushing hard... less cruise-ship, more stealth fighter ;) If I'm listening to anything other than the engine (which is the best in-car entertainment AFAIC - how sad?) then I want something that's gonna keep my pulse up. For a long, boring trip somewhere, listening to Sepultura for hours on end would probably send you to the loony bin. So I'm thinking, I'd like something a bit less edgy - maybe some Orbital (Walk Now) - something that's gonna last. The radio's for traffic reports. XFM is OK some of the time tho. Can't believe noone's mentioned any Prodigy - not that I have a specific track in mind.

D'oh! "Nine Inch Nails - Closer to God" on there... "there" being the CD IYKWIM?! I've got a real nasty 12 inch if you want it... in a *really not gay* way. There's a whole ton of Slipnot that I'm sure's good for a bit of road-rage. And the Deftones have done some good sheeit too.

Yeah, Moulin Rouge puts on some top shows, but it's not cheap and I think you have to book in advance. There's a club pretty much next door we ended up drinking in til something like 6 in the morning. And there's a heap of cheasy strip-clubs all around that area, which are always good for a laff. Just a word of warning tho - if you're 2 mins into your free beer, and you get a bunch of girls come out and try to take you to individual little booths for a nice "chat", and they ask you to buy them a drink... DON'T LET THEM TRICK YOU INTO BUYING THE CHAMPAGNE! One of my doppy mates did, and it cost us something like 240 quid to get out again!

Hate to be the one to disagree with you ;) but the last Lancer register day I was at (Snetterton) they weren't sticking to the corners... unless you're talking about the gravel bit off the edge of the corners. OK, so it was wet, but I think the guys driving thought they'd handle the nuts whatever the weather. The M3 guys don't give a f*ck what everyone else has got - they'll still have a go at chasing them down. It's gonna be an interesting day. Now stop detracting from my point about *MY CAR BEING READY IN TIME!!!* and get on with some work! ;)

Dunno about 7's, but assuming it's ready (and WHY WOULDN'T IT BE?!!! - Bob, are you reading this?!) I'll be at Donington in a week and a half at a Lancer register day with a bunch of earlier Evo's ;) Who cares about 0-60 times? Lets see how they compare on track! :) Now, sounding like I'm saying I'm gonna wipe the floor with them, I /must/ say I'm a *complete* track novice... but I think they're gonna be surprised by some of the 200-ish bhp M3's that're going.
