:D There's a lot of features in the Consult (/ConZult) that I'm not /all/ that interested in. I want to hook something up so I can tell what gear the autobox is in tho. So that circuit could come in handy. It's not simply 0-5V TTL coming from the ECU(s) is it? Converting that to RS232 levels is easy enough. Does Lymon still come on here Andy? Having fessed-up earlier, it's... um... being dealt with. I only looked at it as a bit of a favour - didn't expect it to forget how to boot! The owner was kinda OK about it. I shall leave it at that for now. I should've taken pics tho... nice bit of kit, all touch-screen and wotnot.

Anyone rolling around with their front fogs on (when there's no fog), especially where I'm mostly driving (unlit country lanes) should be soddin' castrated... no trial, just balls off! I thought the front fogs thing was just stupid Festa drivers trying to make their car worth looking at(?!). It's blinding for me coming round a corner to have some tit with their fickin bright fogs blazing... so because I've lost the ability to see the left-side of the road, I have to drive closer to the middle, which is ultimately more dangerous (head on vs ditch). If I put my car in a ditch because of some thoughtless w@nker, they'd probably never even know. If I had my way, fog lights would be banned from all cars. Maybe they're useful in fog (I dunno) but they're dangerous because they're so frequently misused. What's so soddin annoying is there's no way to educate some people - these tosspots that get told to turn them off by the law seem to think it's cool to put them back on again because it's rebelious! All that said, I've no idea how good fogs on a 300 are in fog. I don't have them. A while ago I had to buy new headlights (one was leaking, one got a bullet hole) and they are infinitely better than they used to be - compared directly with other 300s. I dunno whether Nissan modified the design in later ones, but they actually work now. I recommend you stop being a tit Mr Birkly and get some new headlights. Everyone else who drives on fogs... castration.

Anyone got one of these? A real (old type?) one that is, not a ConZult. I've just spent ages pulling the thing apart to get to a dodgy connector... put it all back together and now it simply says: HT-OS V1.04 Error 102 Bad directory Boy, am I in trouble!?! :eek: It looks like there's a reset button, which doesn't seem to do much. Is there some sort of procedure necessary after the battery (the on-board lithium one) has been replaced? Any help would be useful. Yeah, I've checked all the 'orrible ribbon cables.

Oh gosh, how embarassing... I know I've probably given the impression I'm a lazy b*stard that sits in bed all day drinking beer and occasionally tapping keys on a laptop... but I'd honestly have to say, over the last year, my number one priority has been work. I'm *always* working - it's not like I ever get a chance to put it down. Having the option to work at home has it's draw-backs. Number-1 priority /used/ to be running around trying my f*ckin hardest to make my g/f happy... but seeing as that was ultimately impossible (and in return for all my effort, she f*cked me off anyway - women, PAH!), thankfully she's no longer even on the list. And the car... hmm... it'd have to be pretty near bottom of my list of priorities over the last year, but quite high up would be dropping into SE (sorry, Nisstek) so regularly it's like having a second job - just trying to get /something/ done. That's not a moan... really! I'm sure Pete's gonna get round to finishing my mapping some time (before Christmas?). I'm just glad to have it back. 0.85 bar of boost is alright. Friends? I got the switch wired up this morning... got the 12V pin wrong so had to make a minor mod. But now the Consult is reporting my hacked-in Hold switch is working... on my UK spec autobox ECU and box. Dunno what you guys were on about - Jap box being electrically different!? TBH, I can't tell if it's functioning as it should be. I guess we'll see next week when it goes on the rollers (no time today).

I dunno - those coil and / or injector clips strike again :rolleyes: Mine were always doing that... really annoying having to get out and push the clip back down. And when it starts running on 5, the guy you're up against thinks he's managed to break your mota! What's the cheapest way to get all new ones? A few guys here have done it - SMW1 and James300 IIRC... I think the best way is to order part of a Micra loom. Maybe there's a FAQ around? I was lazy and got SE to change all mine.
