shud shuv firworks up their arses and light them for a laugh !! :hyper:

Set my German Shepherds on them as well. Three huge dogs crapping themselves with tails between their legs every night.

I'm well pissed off

yeah, and my cat has taken to crawling around on his belly looking worried. It's not like it's only one night either. It's more like a month either side of bonfire night. Grrrrrrr.

has anyone looked at a used rocket? It's got a big lump of metal at one one end:mad: that would do some serious damage if that came down on someones head!!

Luckily it's going through the insurance but still gonna cost me £50 excess and this'll be the 4th windscreen:eek:

They should be sold to organised displays only!!

Was talking to the wife about the whole firework thingy.

She hails from the States and even over there in the land of firearms at Walmart, fireworks are only available to those holding certain certificates and only from authorised fireworks distribution centres.

Agree with all who think access should be restricted. Fireworks are VVV dangerous and the idea that people can obtain them freely is quite disconcerting.

I've got a mate who puts on proper displays - I helped him set up one year. The shells they use don't have all that fancy packaging (metal bits?!). It's some scary sh*t making sure they don't all set each other off tho.

I'd be fully up for professionals putting on displays at one (or maybe a couple) of weekends, and a complete ban on sale to the general public. I looked out the window one year to see kids letting off rockets just across the road from my car! It's not just this time of year tho - around here people let off fireworks all year round - peoples birthdays, barbecues, new year... FFS!

Grumpy-old-man-rant over ;)
