  1. Dizzi...what is HICAS....Help I Crashed A Supercar  Cheers John Crisp
  2. There are even wrecked De Tomaso Pantera's in that site, my dream car when I was young. Cheers John Crisp
  3. It states 24 cogs (teeth i'd call them)between each cam gear on the lh/rh bank of cylinders. Between each inside cam (lh inside and rh inside) it states 45 cogs. So if that sounds confusing, from the lh most outer cam count 24 teeth till the lh inner cam on that bank....then 45 teeth from inside lh cam to the inside rh cam....then 24 teeth again to the rh outer cam. All this is from a genuine Nissan manual, not a timing belt book. Hope this helps. Cheers John Crisp
  4. Is there not somewhere in the manual the amount of teeth between each mark on each cam gear or am i talking mince again. I'll look and post again if there is. Cheers John Crisp
  5. Cheers for that Billy, am scanning as i post. John Crisp
  6. I keep getting error messages when i close Internet Explorer, I did a scan with Spybot and it picked up DSO Exploit as a fault, anyone had similar and is there an easy fix for it . Cheers John Crisp
  7. Red ZED spotted Scarboro Friday eve, was there for short hoIiday... Cheers
  8. Harve i have ordered loads from Courtesy as well. Saved me a fortune compared to UK prices even with my Motor Trade Discount. Cheers John Crisp
  9. I booked mine at 34k in 1993, still no justice for the price difference from here to usa though between a car thats basically the same apart from the steering wheel is moved. I guess the 2nd hand car market is to blame for all the prices falling, people like Arnold Clark here in Scotland, complete rip-off *******s, I was offered 4.5 k for my x-plate xsara picasso last year even though it booked trade at 6k, i did get 6 k at a dealer next to them and the car I bought was 500 quid cheaper. Main dealers=rip off *******s when it comes to trading in cars which has an effect on the whole 2nd hand car market. Cheers John Crisp
  10. Alan I know you have history with American Cars and I have a mate who was totally into American Cars until he bought a ZED then a crashed TT Supra (another story) but its gotta be a ZED mate, i'd say the IROC is nothing compared to a ZED but thats my opinion. Cheers John Crisp
  11. My outlaws have just returned from USA with local papers and new car prices/offers....350Z Coupe for just under 25k dollars :smash: on the road ffs.....back to the old common knowledge that aint we being ripped off big style. :smash: Cheers John crisp

14 here doing 12 mile round trip to and from work, but mine's an auto, stop/start all the way with only a short blast of dual carriageway. But for me if I had a choice.......gotta be a ZED, deffo not a probe, everywhere I go there are probe's, zeds obviously a lot rarer and much much more of a headturner and as for fuel consumption, thats probably one of the last questions to ask as with this type of car its not gonna be economical to run. Just my 2p's worth, Cheers John Crisp
  13. Yeah Legrath I know thats what i'd do but typical with my luck they would catch me out. Cheers John Crisp
  14. Cheers Russ I phoned my current zed insurer (aon) they will insure me for 347 on classic, but they wont allow me to drive the car to work, even though i take my car to work for 90% of my maintenance (access to pit, plus my tools and inside a warm w/shop as i am a truck mechanic) so that is kinda pissing me off a bit as i thought getting this 2nd car would be easy to organise but its getting to be a pain in the onions. Cheers John crisp
  15. Russ is that your zed in the picture.....if so its modified...how does that work with your ins co, what company do u insure your cars with. Cheers John crisp
  16. Lol Bazz I never thought of that.....I just phoned up Diamond Ins Consultants....they want a pic of the rear spoiler on my car that I have just slaved over the last few nights fitting it ffs, if they like it they will insure the car on Classic.....Insurance companies really know how to take the rip out of people. Cheers John Crisp
  17. I use http://www.easynews.com Mark and have so for 3 years now, 5 quid/month for 6 gig through a credit card, and I know 4 other people who have been using it also without any grief. I have downloaded many cd's before they are released here as well. HTH John Crisp
  18. No claims....duh not no clains. JC
  19. Cheers for the replies guys, I am on an everyday classic policy with AON that uses my no-clains, but i'll start phoning around on Tuesday as I get the Renault 19 Be Bop 1.9 Diesle (twin turbo GTR V-Spec) on Wednesday hopefully then I can start saving all the money I used to use for fuelling the ZED for some bits'n'bobs I want for the ZED. Cheers John crisp
  20. Cheers Bob, when i renewed my insurance on my zed in nov houghtons couldnt beat my renewal with AON, but with 1k limited miles they might be more competative and age is on my side as i'm 37. Cheers John Crisp
  21. Looks like I am gonna inherit my dads m-reg Renault 19 Diesel as he's bought a new Megane, anyone looked into insuring both cars under the same policy and if so what companies. Cheers John Crisp
  22. The springs were compressed properly and the top nuts were buzzed up with an airgun then checked before the struts were fitted and after they were fitted, when a shifting spanner is used to hold the strut top centre part and the 17mm spanner is used to try and tighten the nut, its tight, but i can spin the top bush and also move about like either its not being clamped properly by the 2 pieces of the top mount. Cheers John Crisp
  23. I have recently replaced my front struts and the top bushes but when running over rougher roads I get like a bump through the steering, car feels ok on flat normal roads only when the going is a bit bumpy, also I have replaced the lower wishbones/tension rod bushes/upper links. I have noticed that even though the 17mm nuts are tight at the top of the struts, I can turn the bush as though maybee the freeplay is in the mount at the top of the strut. Any input appreciated cheers john crisp
  24. Cheers for that, I only usually have pc downloading/uploading for the length of the download, then usually i go offline. I use novatina and mesi-torrent just now, but obviously I need to get with the times of all this downloading malarkie. Cheers again John Crisp
  25. Anyone use Suprnova for downloading music etc, is it worth it or a waste of time. I pay 5 quid a month for http://www.easynews.com for 6 gig/month but recently I have been using torrent sites. Any input welcome Cheers John Crisp
