I had the same thing, my car cut out 3 times coming home from work, eventually after getting home i looked at everything like you have and it refused to start. I was soo pi**** off that I left the car for 2 days and tried it the 3rd day and it burst into life right away, turned out to be the PTU as Lymon says in previous post. I got one from Courtesy Nissan in USA, a S2 PTU with the adaptor looms as the plugs are different. HTH Cheers John Crisp

I used to download as well but I got a copy of DVD X Copy Express which copies all DVD's so now all I do is hire them and copy them.....at least no one seen standing up in the middle of the downloaded film going to the toilet....so not the full copy with covers etc but a proper copy none the less and no waiting for a night for some films to download depending on what site you use. Scott there is a mobile guy who works the Glasgow area, believe it or not his company was called 'HOSE MAN', he makes hydraulic pipes for about anything, i can maybee get his number if it helps, but you would need the pipe off the car. Dave is the pc connected to the phone line via the main socket into the house and not an extension wire. I was told by AOL that I needed to check the line with the pc connected to the main phone socket, at first I didnt but then after I installed all the relevant AOL software and drivers for modem on a laptop (or 2nd pc) and it still didnt work I knew it was deffo a line fault even though AOL had went via BT and allegedly gave the line the thumbs up...even though as I posted earlier it was BT at fault. Dave I have been with AOL for nearly 3 years on broadband, they recently upgraded me to a faster speed for the same money but it took 1 month to get me reconnected as they kicked me out accidentally. What I got was when i double clicked the modem green arrows, checked status i got no signal, the arrows stayed dark green, and no data was transferring. Firstly I got a new modem kit with filters etc, I installed AOL/modem drivers again etc still not working. I then put all the AOL/Modem drivers on my laptop from work and at my main phone socket downstairs....was exactly the same....so again i phoned their helpdesk.....one word of advice about the helpdesk.....if you have carried out all the basic checks and also reinstalled the software, ask for level 2 help and they should get your problem sorted. Eventually after 1 month of phoning and getting nowhere the fault was fixed as it was a bt line fault after all the messing about.AOL had the line checked as well by BT and it was given all clear. If I can help give me a shout in pm etc as I am an expert in AOL Broadband. :headvswal Cheers John Crisp

What kinda figure for fuel consumption would be acceptable for you, remembering the car is a 3 litre V6 Twin Turbo, not really my idea of an economical car, but why not buy the zed and put it on classic insurance as a 2nd car and buy a diesel runabout for everyday use, I have my ZED on classic for 175 quid a year.
