I have just returned from Motorfair at Knockhill, amazing to see so many Lambo's/Ferrari's/Porsche's all at once along with a few other exotics and japanese sports cars. Even the army and the supertrucks ripping apart cars was good to see as well. Seeing and hearing a Ferrari F1 car and a couple of GT cars on the track was amazing and even harder trying to take pics of them while on the track. Good day had by all...... Well its actually the wife has ordered a dress (not for me) and shoes etc for my daughter, total cost 190 dollars plus post, UPS want 64 quid. I think thats excessive, the wife is at 25 k feet as she has paid for the goods etc. I have bought bits n bobs for the zed from Courtesy and I never paid anything like that in import tax. 70 dollars=23.98 pounds import tax, that would equate approx to the figure quoted by UPS taking into consideration the post..........robbin barstewards me thinks. Vini, maybee with e-bay when buying from a person and not a company its easier to mark something as a gift rather than a purchase liable for tax?? Cheers John Crisp

Sorry to be a boring fookwit on a saturday night but the reason for the bus loosing control like that is that it needs its rams pressurised in the bendy section, the rams acting like a shock absorber controlling the movement between the 2 carriages, I have seen another video of a similar bus going through cones with the rams pressurised then unpressurised on an airfield, the result unpressurised is like the link above. I wonder if there was anyone on the back carriage of the bus......i bet they crapped theirself big style Cheers John Crisp

I have nearly got my plenum removed from my zed but am I right that there is a mod for the water pipes or a kit to remove the coolant pipework from the plenium. Also I have corroded/broken injector plugs, can alternative plug kits be bought from RS or do they need to be sourced from the traders or Nissan (I have seen something on Courtesy Nissan, sold as 3 connectors). From that pic you sent me it looks like a rocker cover oil leak, the 2 outside (1 left and 1 right) are sealed with silicone like substance, the 2 inner covers have a seal. Looks like you are gonna need the plenum off. I think that maybee you can see the oil at this point but the leak will be further forward as the engine sits slightly higher at the front than the back. Would it be at the front below the plenum on the same side as the battery, if so its probably the rocker cover. I have my plenum 75% removed just now for this, I could see oil dripping onto the AC pump then onto the deck. On mine when I looked at the AC pump from the front of the engine I could see the oil landing on it. If you want mail me the pic and i'll highlight the area of my leak and compare. I had a similar experience when I changed jobs and got a van, I ended insuring the car in the wife's name on classic with Houghtons as a 2nd car for 175 quid, renewed this month at 173 quid. Kinda scarey thought though having my zed registered in my wife's name as she hates the thing and says its a good holiday to America sitting in the garage doing fook all but thats another story. About 15 here doing a 12 mile round trip all below 40mph when I used my Z to and from work, tenner got me 30 miles if I was lucky .............................but................. when I bought the car in Maidstone and travelled to Glasgow I did it in a tank and a half, even though I never worked it out I thought that wasnt bad as I averaged about 75 for most of the way with a few bursts. I say if you are worried about fuel consumption to that extent then buy a diesel and a Zed and put the zed on classic ins, with a 3 litre twin turbo fuel consumption is gonna be out the window. 2 p from me. Pertolhead Its not how long it takes...I am about to move jobs and also have 3 wee nutters who take up all my time but with the summer nights coming in I am gonna make the effort to get it done asap (as in a 3 month plan), I also have 3 gauges for a pillar pod, I just need to get the pod and a few bits and bobs and that will be done also......ahh I forgot also I have a Nismo Headlight panel, 2 side skirts and a rear bumper to fit, ffs as well as the rear spoiler thats fitted to finish.........and there is probably more.....so time is premium but being honest I need to get my a*** into gear.
