EBAY Bidding
I have been selling bits-n-bobs on ebay partly so I can spend money on the zed but one thing I have noticed is that when I have a few people interested in some things I have, when someone has a highest bid they put in another bid of the same amount. What does that mean, are they blocking other bids? Any info welcome. Cheers John Crisp

Joys Of Owning A Zed..........Not
Greg The gear came off no worries but the seal was a PITA to remove. Had to file a lip on my pound shop plain screwdriver and then lightly belted it and it fell oot 1st time but thats life also. Cheers John

Are Cam Seals The Same As The Crank Front Seal
Are the camshaft seals the same part number as the front crankshaft seals on a 1993 UK Zed. Can anyone confirm this for me. Cheers John Crisp

Joys Of Owning A Zed..........Not
Cheers for the replies. I was gonna try and maybee gently heat the gear first, hopefully that'll loosen it a bit.But I have noticed the washer at the back of the gear is loose so I am thinking the gear has sprung away a bit. Will update as soon as I get it off. Cheers John Crisp

Joys Of Owning A Zed..........Not
Aint it great being a Zed owner and having to repair oil leaks....again. Cam seals have been changed about 8k miles (3 years ago). The oil looked like it was coming from the front crank seal area but could have come from higher up. I have a new crank seal, what kinda job is it getting the gear off the crank, is it better to gently heat the gear or is it a PITA job. As can be seen in the pics cars in bits anyway. Cheers John Crisp

How much is it worth then?
Buy a diesel cheap puddlejumper and keep the zed, put it on classic ins, use it at weekends. I have had no ends grief/faults/breakdowns with my 1993 zed and you get there in the end. I'd say dont sell. Just my opinion bud but its your call. ATB John Crisp

starting problem
Mine had a similar problem cut out on way home from work, wouldnt but eventually did start, then chucked it twice again till I got home then wouldnt start. Was soo pissed off I left it for 2 days turned the key and it kicked into life. I bought a brand new S2 PTU from Courtesy Nissan in USA but ya gotta add import tax on which puts the price up a bit but nowhere near what Nissan were charging in this country. Here is a link to Courtesy for the PTU: http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CP&Product_Code=22020-00Z32 Hope this helps Cheers John Crisp

NZR Citroen Xsara Picasso Fuel Filter
Wife has been complaining about smell of fuel inside car since it was serviced on Thursday, found fuel pi**ing from the black housing on the top of the engine. I am guessing this is the filter, I think the rocket that changed the filter has overtightened the lid, am I right in saying it twists off as I have tried to loosen it and its solid....just in case I break anything. The lid I am thinking has the green plug connected to it in the picture. The car is an 03 plate 2.0 HDi. Cheers John Crisp

Rear Wheel bearing
Its not just a bearing, it comes with the carrier as well. I think I paid about a ton for one a few years back from Brown Brothers, cheapest place I could find. Cheers John Crisp
