  3. Scooch just got 12 points.....wooohoooo
  4. I have a picture of a brand new NSX as well....but its too large to attach on here....and it is nothing special, now thats one car I have always liked.
  5. I think there were 4 Countach's there but in the flesh I think the small diameter of the wheels make them look kinda dated but......if I had a chance of one I wouldnt turn it down in a million years. A set of nice 18's would set the car off, but the Diablo's looked awsome as well ( Cheers
  6. Did anyone go to Knockhill to the Motorfair Show today. I ended up there with the kids and I want a Zonda, or a Lamborghini, or a Konigsegg....dream on. Here's some pics...... Cheers John
  7. Alan Cheers for that, it was just sittin gathering dust anyway in me garage, :hyper: amazing what can be done with a bit of wood to straighten the mould. Cheers John
  8. I have bought parts for my 300 from Arnold Clark Nissan at Paisley Road West about 1 mile from M8 Junction at Govan. Say you work for Volvo Trucks at Cardonald Business Park and you'll get a trade discount (hopefully). Cheers John Crisp
  9. Cheers Guys My thinking is that there might be differences inside the box relating to the higher torque of the TT engine so I dont think this is gonna work out......typical. Cheers John Crisp
  10. I just done me cam seals and buzzed it off with an electric buzz gun type chap, anti-clock to loosen. Can get you the torque if it helps. Cheers John
  11. Can anyone tell me if a Japanese Spec NA Autobox is the same as a TT UK Spec Autobox. I am having grief with me auto box and have the chance of an NA Autobox. Cheers John Crisp
  12. If the oil is brownish that its then it may suggest a slipping gear clutch inside the box as the oil is usually red if its ATF Dextron, cant say what colour synthetic oil is. I have a similar problem with mine, I get 1st to 2nd ok, then 2nd goes into 3rd but I dont have 100 per cent full drive and after releasing the throttle slightly it goes into 4th and will drive ok. I have bought a strainer/filter and will be replacing it next weekend. It involves dropping the gearbox sump and changing the strainer/filter (the boxes dont have a seperate filter) and I am gonna change the oil 2 or 3 times to see if it makes a difference. There have been a few posts/pictures of partially blocked strainer/filters but I am not sure of the outcome if by changing this part the box drives any better. Anyways I think more than likely the box in my case is on its way out. I will let you know the outcome in my case. Cheers John Crisp
  13. I did a search but never found anything like that. Cheers for that just what I need. Cheers John
  14. I looked to run my temp sensor wire and boost pipe for my pillar pod through the inner wing but that looks a PITA. There is a small plate on the left hand side beside the brake pedal would I be right in saying its where the clutch pedal goes through the bulkhead. I am guessing it wouldnt be a problem to drill a hole for the wire/boost pipe. Anyone verify this for me or is there any easier place to run them. Cheers John
  15. Any chance of some pictures mate, if possible. Cheers John
  16. Edited my post andy as I hadnt finished warbling. I think the smoke is down to software/programming of the engine ecu with a lot of vehicles. At work we are getting 2 year old and newer buses reprogrammed because of the reek when the pull away.
  17. How many new diesel cars have u been behind that are smokey when they are kicked, quite a few of them i'd say. I have seen commercials going 2 million kilometers without any major surgery all down to the servicing. Again modern engine managements can have a lot to do with smoke reduction but the thing I can get is why the newer cars/trucks actually burn more diesel and dont give as good a mpg figure as they could all down to emissions. ie on some older trucks the engine ecu can be reprogrammed from Euro 1 software to Euro 2 software but it costs the owner 1 mile per gallon all for cheaper tax. I have seen plenty modern diesel cars that are smokey but not like thick black unburnt diesel fumes but just a bit reeky when they are kicked. Cheers John Crisp
  18. Bilky its a uk car so the cooler isnt an afterfit. Good point David it might be an idea to have 2 coolant gauges, one for engine and one for gearbox. I was just thinking of trying to plumb it into the gearbox just as an additional gauge. I need to get the car into work over a pit and investigate. Cheers guys John
  19. I am fitting 3 gauges to a pillar pod and was wondering rather than making one engine coolant, plumb it into the auto box. Anyone done this? Cheers John Crisp
  20. Ahh the old black one is running ok. I have it on classic insurance so its only used occasionally. Just done the timing belt/cam and crank seals and bought a set of 2nd hand 18's but now its the auto box's turn to play up, I think I have a clutch either away or on the way out so that'll be the next project. Its only just turned 77k miles on it as now I have a coimpany van so not using it everyday. Cheers John
  21. Hows it going John. Are u back in a Zed, I still have the one I bought from you in '02. Welcome back Mate. Cheers John Crisp
  22. Mine are 8.5 front with 235's and 10 inch rears with 265's. Cheers John
  23. Cheers for the comments guys, gotta make my mind up with the rear spoiler......does it stay or does it go and the windscreen needs replaced so off to the bodyshop at work. Cheers John Crisp
  24. Cheers again Alan but I have 2 front hubs in me hut from previous exploits of worn suspension. Cheers John
  25. Yep thats my thoughts as well....was in shock when they came up just at the right time and I have always liked them. Cheers John
