How Thick Is Your Apprentice ???
Who would be an apprentice nowadays in the motor trade, lets be honest here, the products are gettin more and more difficult to diagnose as there is so much reliance on electrics and now with multiplex wiring etc on a lot of new cars/trucks/buses ffs its software faults that can cause grief as well as chaffing wiring and the usual 'faults' that appear and then of course there is some loonie controller on your back moaning about Gross Profit on this job being out the window and budgets ffs, if an apprentice is working with you and see's the shit thats heading in your direction, as well as me, he would be like, wtf am i doing here and do i really want this as my job, so there are many issues that can make an apprentice lose interest in a short space of time other than him being a complete waste of space and not interested in the 1st place, being over keen can soon be knocked out of someone, again with special guidance from the controller of course.........as the saying goes...if a certain person was a ****er on the w/shop floor, they go places. Enough warbling from me....cheers John Crisp

How Thick Is Your Apprentice ???
FFS Alan not back to youngsters in Nova's again is it.....we have 3 apprentices......2 1st and a 3rd yr apprentice, one of the younger guys is oki, the other is a complete space kadet, not interested in the slightest, cant stand still for 2 seconds, has to lean on something, he also fell asleep under a truck while turning the flywheel for one of the guys, but the 3rd year app has a gr8 attitude but is gettin guidance from the w/shop controller ie trying to brainwash him into thinking faster work....but the quality aint there...fooks up jobs right left and centre....i try and tell him to cool his jets and the speed will come but no....keeps making a horses dick of the simplest of jobs.....so guidance has to be from the right places not from the monkeys that are probably in control of most garages around the world who only think profit speed figures etc. my 2p's worth...cheers John Crisp

Working on a "Z"
Way of the world now to stop small garages working on cars as they are so feckin complicated and as most jobs are a nightmare a lot of people are like ffs that job looks a nightmare, lets put it into the main dealer...only problem is that a lot of main dealers have monkeys (technicians...right) workin for them (not all) and they are like ffs that jobs a nightmare but they have gotta do it and as usually they are over paid underachievers make a horses dick of the job leading to a very pissed off customer. My 2p's worth......Cheers John Crisp

Rear Spoiler removal
Bilky i got my spoiler from a scrappie, for not a lot of money, but i jumped in with 2 feet as usual not realising whats involved or the extra expense with paint etc. My next plan of attack is to try and get someone to copy my standard spoiler so i can butcher the copy and sell the old one as its in not too bad nick, hopefully not too much grief to get it copied. Cheers John Crisp

Cutting Standard Rear Spoiler

Cutting Standard Rear Spoiler
Cheers lads, I might try and get a copy made of my spoiler with the centre brake light and cut it to suit, in the links on PPS's site my spoiler is like the one in the red 300 being kitted up amd i guess it light be easier to sell on my standard spoiler and fit a fibre glass copy to the car if it can be made cheaply (Mrs is giving me serious shit with regards to the car). Thanks again......John Crisp

Rear Spoiler removal
Feckin nightmare to take spoiler off....some psycho had refitted mine with 3 large dollops of Psychoflex (like tiger bond silicone)......took ages to cut through it with a piece of wire then i had to use a rubber 'buffer' in a drill, a rubber round block that removes anything in its path apart from paint. Just my 2p's worth Cheers John Crisp

14yr old girl shot!
Not a claim to fame here but when i was playing amateur soccer 3 headbangers tried to shoot one of the opposition players while we wwere taking a corner, guy was marking the front post and as ball was crossed in 'bang' like a firecracker, then 2nd time, hit the guy on the cheek then grazed him, then the fooker ran with a few players chasing him ffs till the 2nd loonie covered the other guy...looking like he was armed also but wasnt....eventually they got away...turned out it was wrong guy they shot and his 6 yr old son was watching game ffs...by this time i was like wtf, anyway 3 guys got caught and are doing 20 yrs each. No consellation for anyone caught up in some other idiots shit like that girl but it shows how easy it is to be in wrong place at wrong time... Enough warbling from me.....John Crisp
