  2. I don't know about the UK mirrors but I have a Jap spec 300 and the mirrors wobble in the folding section. PITA really so may not be worth doing.
  3. But he said the plugs were oiled. If it goes straight down the exhaust then the plugs would be OK
  4. You what? What does that mean? Yes but what is in the ECU ?
  5. If it does 175 MPH it isn't untouched. :D
  6. Just compare the suspect one to a known good one.
  7. Thats your power drain. Check the rear hatch switch - causes most problems
  8. With that voltage i'd say your alternator needs to looked at first and then go fom there. The alternators are internally regulated. Electronic circuits react to wrong supply voltages in different ways so I'd say sort the charging first then check other faults.
  9. At least the little piece didn't go into the motor. I guess the turbo must have been at a very slow speed as the piece passed through or there would have been more damage (just guessing) which would suggest it happened on startup. LUCKY
  10. The OEM NGK's were specifically design for the 300, especially the turbo model. Wouldn't go past them.
  11. Unless someone has taken the bulb out to fix another problem :( Does your speedo work? That proves the signal through half the system. Seems there is a lot of problems with speedo convertors over there. Otherwise check the steering controller. Have a search too as this has been covered many many times before.
  12. And without the internet ......... ?????????
  13. Thought the VH41 / 45 would be a better idea. Alloy V8 and Nissan too. The speedway guys are getting 10000 rpm out of them with only a mild investment in comparison to the other V8's. http://www.nz300zx.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1714
  14. Oh bugger !!! I missed the waxy comment :slap: Sorry. If it's all milky I'd just drain it over night. Like Andy said, running it with emulsified oil will destroy your motor very quickly. And if it is all milky you have a bigger problem.
  15. If you been driving it for over an hour a few more minutes wont hurt as most of the fuel will have evaporated.
  16. The oil will be stuffed now because of fuel contamination and you will have a higher wear factor on your motor parts.
  17. I have the same problem (if it is a problem) with my Jap TT manual. Mines smells like burning wax. I just put it down to a leaner fuel mix as my injectors are maxing out.

What was it's intended purpose (Other than to annoy people)?
  19. Change your oil and filter firstly. If the ECU has had water in it, it could well be damaged - hence no spark on some pots. If the plug is too wet it may not spark either.
  20. I can't :) There's no interior in my car and it drones like crazy. Doesn't weigh much though and goes like stink. Fun on the car club hill climbs :)
  21. The ECU could be sensing detonation and knocking the timing back. Det sensing is reduced substantially over 3000 RPM (or there abouts). I have the same issue now I have a more aggressive chip in it.
