  1. The Q45 (or VH45) AFM flows around an extra 20% over the Z32 AFM
  2. If I remember correctly, the Doolz unit has a factor of 70%. I can't remember if it reads 70% of the air or 70% less air. If you go to a twin intake, you will require an idle stabalisation pipe.
  3. The noise in B is caused by the motor affecting A
  4. Have to agree. The side and rear profiles are quite nice but the front doesn't spin my wheels. No idea sorry.
  5. http://www.300z.co.nz/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=72&Itemid=33
  6. Series 1 is on the left http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n274/nigb/PTUs.jpg
  7. Do a search on PTU's. The series 1 units give problems when warm.
  8. No, the ECU cannot check for a faulty coil but it sounds like you might be on the right track. Have you got a series 1 or 2 PTU?
  9. Start by gapping the plugs at around 0.8 mm - it just rules one possibility out
  10. Yes it should. What gap have you got your plugs at ?
  11. Make sure you are using the proper spark plugs (NGK platinums) and reduce the gap to 0.8 mm
  12. Because it's turned on. Press the Econ button again to turn it off Use the Auto button
  13. Yes it has aircon Econ stands for economy (doesn't run the compressor unless it has to) Sounds like your thermostat is stuck open
  14. Should kick down gears with less throttle application too
  15. Make sure you test the fuse and not just do it by eye
  16. I think I'd go for the "Made from 100% 4140 chromoly steel" version (just my opinion). Aluminum is probably OK but tends to fracture over time when stressed.

  18. Old age, over tightened belt, ..........
  19. Like Andy said, the "signal" is a +'ve
  20. The casing of the starter is ground or -. There is a big stud for the main battery + lead and a smaller connector for the signal to make it start (which is the one you have connected by the sounds of things).
  21. Steam dissapates where as smoke lingers. What do you have?
  22. The more efficient a motor runs, the more steam it produces. However, if there is excessive steam or it does not disappear when the motor is hot, you may have another problem. I'll check your first post.
