  1. Sounds just like a series 1 PTU. Which do you have?
  2. http://www.300zx.co.nz/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3325&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
  3. I have a short wheelbase and have one in front and one in back - import though
  4. Check the ECU for fault codes. Do a search, the method has been posted on here a million times.
  5. Make sure if they machine your front rotors, they do it on the car.
  6. Interesting read if nothing else
  7. Here's some free info but not all of it is 100% correct http://www.ztechz.net/id10.html
  8. I think it indicates the "Self learn" function that fine tunes the mixture ratios
  9. There is a pipe you can access at the back of the motor when the gearbox is out
  10. Look at page 52 in the ST section of the manual. You may be able to adjust the stroke stoppers right up so the thing doesnt move.
  11. Air is squishy, hydraulic fluid is not.
  12. If it's the electric type you should be pretty safe. If it'ds the hydraulic type, the only thing keeping you on course will be the centering spring. I imagine with the right conditions it would be possible to get some sort of movement thats why they make the Hicas removal bars.
  13. Probably electrical Yes Yes No probs
  14. The stock temp guage is far from linear. I would trust the ECU temperature as long as the connector on the sender (yellow one) is nice and clean.
  15. Did you machine or hand tighten the wheels?
  16. It does function but at a much reduced level
  17. You're looking at the line upside down. 4800 is it's richest point.
  18. The intercoolers won't be able to cool the volume of air sufficiently which could lead to a higher intake temperature and detonation (and a new motor). The other downside is that the tanks are plastic on the stock coolers if I remember correctly and they won't take as much pressure.
  19. Yep and long as you don't go too hard out
  20. Missing at high boost could be plug gaps - set them to around 0.8 mm
  21. I managed to replace all of my hoses on the plenum with it in place. It took me and the mechanic 2 days and much lost skin couple with a lot of swearing and cursing. A set of gaskets would have been a lot easier.
