Nice one Andy - kinda scary when you think there's people like that on our roads.

How did my post move up before the question ????

AFM without airfilters
Some of the high horsepower cars run without filters because they are constantly being pulled apart and parts replaced. Like serious drag motors, they only do 1 or 2 runs then stripped.

Fulda tyres
Cheers guys, your input is much appreciated. Sounds like they are a good tyre so will look into compounds and ratings with a fine tooth comb.

Fulda tyres
I was just wondering what they would be like as a comparison to others. The price over here in New Zealand is quite cheap and normally that means cr@p, but not always. I see over there that Toyo's over there are well liked, yet over here Bridgestones tend to have a small lead. Like you say, compounds will be different, but on a whole a decent tyre manufacturer won't make a good tyre for one country and not another. Thanks for your reply.

Anyone got a 555 or stock injector to hand?
Probably best to get one of them flow tested. That will remove all doubts

Resistance?? Help required!
A 470 ohm resistor would be the closest. You could put 2 LED's in series and use a 330 ohm resistor.

Kenlowe Electric Fans???????
The main advantage of an Electric fan is better cooling at low speed. Like Topless said the Z fan is better but only if you have some engine RPMs up. As for HP gains, if the electric fan isn't running and you don't have a viscous unit, there must be an advantage. I remember my Skyline on a hot summers day, the viscous unit is driving the fan hard at around 4000 rpm and when it started to free wheel, it was like someone taking the handbrake off. There was definately more than 1-3 hp difference.
-
Kenlowe Electric Fans???????
Like I said Most of thier figures will be for an oversized permanantly engaged fan with no viscous unit.

Kenlowe Electric Fans???????
http://www.kenlowe.com/fans/consumers/fans03.html Of course numbers will vary with viscous fans (especially at full RPM) but still an interesting article.

At higher RPM's it might reach that

removing boost stepping motor
If I see it correctly that is the low / high boost solenoid. If you have a boost controller you won't need it. It controls the boost and lowers it in times of trouble. Without it you can risk your motor as some of the safety features will be removed. All depends on what mods you've done and how safe they are.
