  1. Just checked the Conzult screen shots. The engine side of things is similar but it has many more features like the aircon, auto trans, etc. Would have to try the Conzult before I could do an exact engine function comparison.
  2. You can only read the maps though and not write to them - quite safe. You can then see what point the ECU is using from the map which is a great tuning tool.
  3. Bugger  I made mine some years back using dual colour red / green LED's. I can choose between red, green or both (an orange sort of colour). I was going to make an electronic circuit to change the bias on both led packages so it slowly changes from red to green through all the colours in between and back again. Then it would switch to red only when you brake. Perhaps I won't now  Or then again ..... :p wait and see what the cops say
  4. I have Datascan and I must say that I've never needed a manual - it's very easy to use software. As for interpreting the data, if you don't know what sensors do and what they should read, why did you buy the software ? :slap: Wouldn't this affect the Conzult software too or do they explain things like this ?
  5. Cheers srrae Once I've had the engine revs up to 2000, and the alternator kicks in, it will continue to charge at any RPM's. It just has to get there once and then it's OK (until you switch off and start it next time).
  6. Does everyones alternator start charging straight away then ?
  7. My alternator doesn't start charging the car until the revs hit around the 2g mark. I can start the car and it will idle fine (unless the battery is flat) but when you measure the battery voltage, it sits around 12 volts. Raise the engine revs to around 2000 and then the alternator kicks into life and starts charging normally (around 14 to 14.4 volts). Does this happen to everyone or am I lucky enough to have to swap out my alternator ?
  8. WillieO - why do you wear your watch on your manhood :) I wear mine on my arm :)
  9. Settle petals. Just get to know your car and more importantly YOUR capablities on the likes of track days and make an informed decision from there. Don't forget that panic overules a lot of experience at times.
  10. Thanks for looking Daves Zed It is a good place to be mgh297 and yes it is the art deco city - today was sun sun sun and to top it of was a drive in the 300 (in the sun of course)
  11. Thanks for you help - much appreciated
  12. Thanks Graham S. I'll do the perspex strip. There's a plastic shop just down the road from me that should be able to help or is this a part that you can buy through Nissan (bearing in mind the distance from the shops you guys get to use - there's nothing like them over here)
  13. Good skills z32king. The paint on it is now stuffed funkysi. It's sunburnt :( from all the goood weather

  16. I see you're still feeding the dog and the kids some weird s**t
  17. Very nice though Funky. If I was restoring, that would be one of my picks too.
  18. I'm going racing, not dancing :)
  19. Thanks all - a great help. Graham S - your last picture is what I am aiming for. So to get a smooth butt I have to remove the factory spoiler, plug the holes and respray ? Anything else ?
  20. Does anyone have pictures of the rear boot without the factory spoiler fitted and no tailgate skin fitted  Is it ugly ? Can it be made to look pretty with just an adjustable wing ?
