Knock sensor
The wire did look a mess and would feel safer to replace both. If you could get me a knock sensor that would be great. I have another order coming from Z1 so i've included the sub harness just trying to cancel the knock sensor. Thanks Jimmer.

Florida
Will try some of the places suggested. I think we are going to stay local and not travel too much, only to space center and daytona. What ever i miss will then give me an excuse to go again ;) Thanks for some of the suggestions though.

Selling up!
I had a N/A 300zx and sold that to buy a 96 impreza type RA 555 about 5 years ago. It was a nice car, handled well but found the box ratios are close and found i was always changing gear. I also found the seats not be that comfortable, well not as good as the 300zx. I got rid of it or should i say wrote it off (not my fault) in the end and went back to the 300zx, which i'm driving now. Never looked back. 300zx is more fun to drive more comfortable sounds great, its a much better car. Just my two pence worth. Ant

Off to florida with my girlfriend on 1st August for 2 weeks. Doing the usual a few theme parks and a day in the kennedy space center, would have seen the shuttle launch on the 6th august but they have just postsponed it for a couple of weeks. Also going to daytona for a high speed passenger ride in a nascar. We saw that they have a car show each weekend in the old town so we definitely going to that. Just wondered if anyone has been and have any other recommendations of places to go while out there. Oh wanted to drive to Z1 to have a look around but the girlfriend doesn't want to do the long drive of 5 hours each way :( Personally i can's see the problem. :D Ant

My rebuild
Been a few months since my last update. It's been a bit slow recently, i took my block heads and crank to ctm performance to have the engine work carried out. They said that it would take 2 weeks to carry the work out, 4 weeks later and i get my engine back but still had to wait for the bearings as no where in this country had them. After 2 weeks these turned up too. Scott at Custom Exotics sprayed the block and a few other bits and i was then able to start putting things back together. As you can see from the pics i've manged to get a few bits back and gotta say thanks to Brett and Scott for the help i've had so far with a few little things. Got to get the knock sensor ordered quick as i don't want to get to far and not be able to fit it. I am going to have another colour in the engine bay too, but not going to tell you what colour it is :D Going to have a few bits chromed as well. Really looking forward to getting it all done, i have enjoyed building it so far but bound to have some bad moments. Here is a few pics, hope you enjoy. Cheers, Ant

Knock sensor
So should i not put one in at all? My present one is completely shagged, so won't be refitted, would have to get a new.

Knock sensor
I've got a apexi avc-r and my rebuild is consisting of forged pistons and rods and gt28r tubs and 740cc injectors. Even with this setup from what i'm reading i will still need one or can bypass it. Sorry for sounding dum on this, just thought a knock sensor was always a must. Cheers, Ant

Knock sensor
Yeah tell me about it, $161 or second hand for $75. I have seen them on ebay for £35, might be a bit risky though.

Knock sensor
While doing my engine rebuild i noticed that the knock sensor and loom looked as though they had seen better days. I asked in the wanted section if anyone had one, but 300 zedx thinks that if you have a chipped ecu this would cancel out the knock sensor safety mode meaning that i wouldn't need one? Does anyone know before i look to get one please. Thanks, Ant
