Where do these go??
Can anyone tell me where these wires connect to please? The one with the rubber gromet was on the passenger side under the engine but can't see where it goes to? The other two I think were on the drivers arch in the engine bay, are these to do with the HICAS as one looks like it connects to this? Thanks, Ant

Oil hose
Looking to purchase oil hose to go from the oil cooler to the engine. Does this have to be High pressure oil pipe? I'm just having trouble finding this. All I can find is the low pressure stuff. I'm probably just being stupid and looking in the wrong place. Thanks, Ant

Once the oil tree and lower manifold was removed they got a good old sand blast. Brought it up a treat. The oil pump is new. HTH. Cheers, Ant

Ash spec Rad
Cheers Andy. Spoke to Ash via email and he has supplied me the wrong lower bracket, but when I purchased the radiator he seems to recall that I stated that I have a non-turbo chassis. Hmm I don't think so! He said that he has to fabricate a new one for me as he no longer produces the radiators with the separate lower bracket as the lower mount points for the TT radiator are built into the endtanks with the ones he supplys now. So I think we will modify the current bar and weld onto the end tanks. Thanks for all the help though. Cheers, Ant

Ash spec Rad
It was a long time since I took the old rad out, so my memory is vague. From what you can see in the pic of the engine bay, do I need to add lower original brackets if there were any or does the rad just sit in to the bay as the bay is now? sorry if this sounds confusing. One other thing there is nothing on the bottom of the rad to make me think that this should just fit without any lower bracket? Thanks, Ant

Ash spec Rad
Anyone have a Ash spec rad? I have had one for ages and finally getting round to fitting it but don't know what brackets go where. Pictures of the brackets that come with it shown below. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Ant

My rebuild
Glad your sorted. I was quiet lucky as I had a spare one which I was able to follow. Maybe its worth trying what i did and take loads of pictures before you take it apart. I always think I will remember but never do  Probably got around 300+ pics of the engine on the computer, helped alot. Only a thought. Cheers, Ant

My rebuild
Once the rad and fan are in that will fill the empty space in the front. Wanted to declutter to show off the engine a bit more. Always thought it was a little hidden with all the gear around it.

My rebuild
A few more pics to add. I was at Custom exotics till 10:30 pm on Monday getting the engine fitted. Right PITA, doesn't go in as easy as it come out! Very tight fit with the tubs, but really glad with the colours and think it looks awsome against the black :cool2: Since Monday i've managed to get some of it plumbed back up. I also got the new Pace intercoolers fitted with the nice chromed intercooler pipework. All in all it's coming along nicely. Big thanks to Brett and Scott at customexotics for staying late Monday night to help get the engine fitted. Cheers guys. Excuse the quality of the pictures, they were taken with my phone. Ant

Fuel rail
I have a 300 degree fuel rail and was wondering does it matter which way the fuel flows round the rail? The reason I ask is the hoses off the rail seems to sit better at the rear of the engine if they are crossed instead of connecting the way the standard ones connect? Hope you understand my poor discription :tongue_smilie:

My rebuild
I will be fitting a timing belt top cover instead of the normal cam covers, as I don't want to hide the chroming I've had done. That has been painted candy orange too, but not sure what colour to go with on the other top cover, orange or black. As I had uprated the internals I went with the stronger belt which was probably overkill. Thanks for the comments. Cheers, Ant

My rebuild
Thought I would put up a few more pics. The engine is virtually ready to go in, just need to bolt on the flywheel, clutch and gearbox. I'm really liking the candy orange on the engine parts, the cambelts will be covered so you won't see the blue. The engine bay has been smoothed off and sprayed black. Also I forgot to say that I relocated the main fusebox about a year ago, trying to simplify the engine bay and declutter it. The battery will be going in the boot and I will be relocating the fuel filter too. I stripped the throttle linkage down and cleaned all the springs etc which I think make a really big difference. The hardest decesion was whether to keep the aircon:confused1: I'll be back down working on it Monday and may well be dropping the engine in for a test fit :cool3: Well I hope you enjoy the pics. Cheers, Ant
