  1. Completely missed this thread  I will have to check the wheel tyre size I have and will post back up.
  2. Hi John, I'll be interested to know a price on this as well please. I think by the time the car is finished and i have run it in I will wait for the emerald as this seems to be a good way to go. Thanks for all your help. Ant
  3. I already have the AFC and dual pop with dummy MAF. What sort of running issues do you get with the dual intake? I've been told that I should be pushing around 480-550 bhp so that was why I looked a dual intake and the AFC for a solution till I can afford the standalone. Has anyone used emerald or have any views on this please? I think I need to read up more on the standalones and see where I want to go with this whlie I'm running the car in. Thanks for all the replys. Ant
  4. So I could use a 740cc chip on a single airfilter and MAF. Then fit the dual intake and Apexi AFC-II when I get the car mapped? Rob, I've not heard much about the Nistune and must read up more about it. I have been thinking about this as one possible way to go or maybe the Emerald. Did the Nistune cost much? Thanks, Ant
  5. Thanks for the replys. Car is still off the road as im still building it. It won't be a everyday car just weekends. I will be going for a socketed ECU as youv'e mentioned and I think I will speak to John Dixon when it gets nearer the time about getting a chip. Is John Dixon the only person who could supply the chip and socket the ECU? Would it be worth fitting a dual pop and Apexi AFC-II before i run the car in? Thanks again, Ant
  6. Speak to Dan@DTA he can get you the right tubing you need, very helpful chap. Thats where i got mine from when i done it the other week. Thanks, Ant
  7. Saw 6 in the space of 15-20 mins. Amazing thing to see.
  8. I'll buy some new wrap to replace the old stuff. Thanks Jeff.
  9. Im not to up on ECU and chips. I was wondering what I have to look for when getting one? I have forged internals, 740cc injectors, GT28R tubs. The reason I ask is BAZZ has a Socketed ECU and 740cc chip for sale and was wondering if this would be ok? Does the type of chip matter if running a AFC and dual intake with a dummy MAF? Thanks, Ant
  10. Decided i am going to keep my aircon on my engine rebuild. This may sound a stupid question but part of the aircon pipe from the bulk head is wrapped in this protective wrap. Question is, have people left this on as i think it looks dirty? Does this pipe really get hot enough to need the protection? If its the case that it is needed what would be best to replace it with? Cheers, Ant
  11. Thanks for the nice comment. Yes thats the one. It is taking longer than expected though:rolleyes: :D
  12. Sorry you saying that i can get rid of the solenoid? When the boost controller was installed the instructions said to disconnect the stock boost solenoid electrical connectors and the kit does come with a solenoid. So i thought that these were then redundent.
  13. I'll check that out. Thanks again for the help. Silverbullet could I just ask one other thing. My rebuild im doing, do i need to keep the wastegate valve control solnoid valve on both sides just below the plenum? I have Apexi AVC-R boost controller with larger tubs and uprated internals. Thanks again, Ant
  14. That's great thanks for that. i'll chop it at the trans tunnel. I'm guessing the rubber valve is at the end of this pipe then? Cheers, Ant
  15. Thanks vodkashots. Do I still need it then if I've got rid of the carbon canister? Cheers, Ant
  16. Can anyone tell me what this pipe is and what it's used for please? Marked with green dots. Thanks, Ant
  17. I got that kit from Z1 and i had to change the pulley as it didn't line up as Smithy said. I had bought the Unorthodox Light Weight Pulley set and had to order a N/A pulley to replace the TT one. You get a N/A bracket with the pump aswell which is different to the TT one. Just something to think about. Cheers, Ant
  18. Thanks Andy that did indeed. Will look to do the same. Cheers, Ant
  19. Where did those vacuum pipes go too that you blocked off on the plenum Andy?
  20. Look forward to seeing this all done and fitted. Looking great:cool:
