Yet another question
Going to try and order the bits I need this week. When ordering the Wiseco Pistons what compression ratio should I go for? I tried researching on here and its either lower Comp and loads of loag or risk of det if I go higher. What have people gone for in the past please? Thanks, Ant

Intake hoses.
Its the ones that are circled. I think they are different to the ones in the bottom pic or are they the same? The other part that goes to the turbo seem to sit lower.

Intake hoses.
Either really, just curious where I could get them from and what sort of price they are.

My rebuild
I went and done more work on the car on Monday. I decided to have a go at fitting the HICAS elimination bar. Halfway through I got side tracked and ended up in the engine bay lol. I had a look at the EFI loom and disconnected more connectors and took more pics and labeled more things. I also removed the oil cooler and the air con pipes ( which I'm still not sure if I should keep the air con) Took off the brake and clutch reservoir tanks. I am trying to clear the bay a bit ready to be cleaned and painted, also trying to decide where to relocate bits so I can simplifier the bay more. I also got the ok from my girlfriend to put a few bits in the dishwasher to clean them up. Don't know how :D Not much was done on Monday but hope to be down there again on Friday. Cheers, Ant

Plastic cover???
Ok cheers jimmy. I do remember seeing dry water marks on a couple of the coil packs. Do you think the condition of the rubber rings would cause a problem? Or will they be ok to replace back in as is? Cheers, Ant
-
Plastic cover???
Not sure what they are called, but they are where the spark plugs are by the heads. After looking at it closely you can see that the rubber seal on the end is not looking its best. What is its purpose? Is it possible to buy new rubber rings, cos Im guessing I need new ones? Thanks, Ant

Air fliter
Do you know when the MAF max's out? Dan at DTA said I could run anything from 480-550 RWHP. Just got me thinking about when the MAF will max out. When I've been searching this forum I was coming across different opinons on this. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks, Ant

Air fliter
With the mods I'm looking at doing, wiseco pistons, eagle conrods, 555/740 injectors, gt28r tubs etc. I not sure what air filter setup to go for. Not sure when the MAF max's out? So would it be worth waiting till all the work is done set up etc and see if the MAF is holding it back or do you think I would need a doolz or a JWT duel intake? Could you run a single MAF on a JWT duel intake? If I went for this I would need to change the chip to supoort this too. I have tried researching and i'm getting a little confused? Any help would be great. Thanks, Ant

My rebuild
Spent another couple of days stripping the engine. The oil pump was a right pain to remove, never ever want to try and do that again. Took me half a day to remove with the help of Scott at custom exotics. Managed to get it completely stripped in the end and started cleaning it getting all the dirt and grease off. Got some of the smaller parts cleaned too, all ready to be sprayed, yet to decide on a colour. Should be able to get down there again on monday to do yet more cleaning :D Some more pics... Cheers, Ant before after

lightened flywheel
I went for this one which smithy said is very good. I've not yet fitted it and it is cheaper than the RPS one i think. http://www.amzperformance.com/product_info.php?cPath=16&products_id=2049 Cheers, Ant
