  1. Can the engine still be pulled with it removed? Ant
  2. I'm pulling the engine in the new year. I've started stripping a few bits in the garage before it goes to the workshop. what I was thinking was can I remove the plenum before the engine gets pulled or will this need to be in place and remove it after? If I can remove the plenum before hand, I have read that you need to remove the fuel lines etc. But to do this you need to purge the fuel system. Problem being that I have taken all the intercooler pipes out, air filter is off, broken connector on the TPS etc. Basically its not running. What I need to know is there another way of removing the fuel lines etc without having to start the engine to purge the system? Thanks, Ant
  3. Sounds like you have made your mind up, I had this one installed a little while back just to give you another example. Thanks, Ant

  7. Well my Intercoolers turned up today. Really pleased with the quality and amazed at how much bigger they are compared to the stock ones. Well these are part of the bits I'm collecting ready for my rebuild starting early next year. Really looking forward to the start of that, just got to wait for the turbos to turn up, with the forged internals I'm ordering after xmas and im finally getting somewhere with ashspec and the radiator problem I've been having since march. One thing I want to ask is, the slight dent in the finns (shown in the second picture), will they affect the efficiency of the cooler? Thanks Ant

  14. I had a manual conversion done a couple of years ago. I've been stripping stuff that i'm wanting to get chromed. Looking at the balance bar, would they have left the auto bar on or swapped for a manual one? Also what is the difference between them? Thanks Ant
  15. So is it recommened to buy a set of N/A squirtes for the rebuild with the forged pistons? Where would be the place to get these from? Thanks Ant
  16. I'm having my engine rebuilt in the new year and was just going through the ride section and see that Smithy has got 'N/A oil squirters' fitted. I'm guessing that the twin turbo has these already and that they squirt oil onto the piston somehow, is that correct? If so what is the advantages of fitting the N/A squirters? I'm going for forged pistons in my rebuild would it be worth getting these as well? Thanks. Ant
  17. Finally got round to looking at the Plenum again. I've managed to remove the pipe in the bottom picture. Still a little confused about the top picture. Going from what Silverbullet said, do i have to cut the pipe off where i've put 'Drill Here' and the other ones by the Throttle Bodys need to have the pin drilled out. Where abouts would i have to drill to hit the pins? Would i have to drill in the end of the pipe or from the side? Hope this is clear :) Thanks Ant
  18. Ill give that a go this weekend. Cheers Alan. Ant
