  1. Wear you badge with pride!
  2. I have a z1 which seems good Beware of all of the apexi copies on eBay
  3. Targa trims require you to strip the whole targa down if you do it properly, don't try to leaver them off There is a simple way to remove them but it requires some drilling Follow boldys guide here http://300zxclub.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?151389-A-quick-way-to-replace-targa-trims Or there is another write up but I can't find it
  4. my advice to you as someone who has done the same as you Get the prep work spot on first Chose a colour that will flatter you painting skills- back will show any ripples and a clear over base finish with a metallic base will show all of the mistakes and bits that decide to land in your paint Chose the days you spray wisely - 20 degrees, low humidity. Ideally choose a good summers day. Get up early before it gets too hot then leave it to bake as the temp rises- do not do it this time of year My solution to home spray was to use a forgiving colour, a solid colour and to lay down an extra coat so that I could confidently colour sand and then polish Do you know what a guide coat is? If not read up and use this. As si says, watch/ read as much as you can and then a bit more. If you have questions, there are a few of us that can help
  5. I think for my needs I'll just be wiring up the aux in and some power to an iPhone cable. Like you are doing so that sat nav etc can come through my phone or ipad
  6. Nice find, a little too retro for me but really interesting
  7. I got mine from here http://www.datsun1200.asia/category/select/pid/9419 They also seem to have the rare black/ gold version http://www.datsun1200.asia/category/select/pid/9339 maybe you could order 1 for si too, to match his centre caps:thumbup1:
  8. Good luck, they are getting hard to get hold of
  9. If you go back there mate I really need the 4 trim strips that fit to the edges of the underside of the hatch.only if in great condition though. Obviously there will be a good profit in there for you.
  10. Thanks guys Any recommendation on speakers? I also have a Genesis 6 channel amp kicking about, I don't think I'll fit it though. Might put it up for sale to fund some for my next order from z1
  11. 1992 Nissan 300ZX SWB TT Manual (2015-10-06 15:31:15)
  12. Just bought a replacement stereo for the 300 I've been on the lookout for a suitable replacement for this Managed to pick this up- It's supposed to be unused- nakamichi cd45z I'm sure it will split opinions but it's just the look I'm after plus it has an aux in so I can plug my phone in.
  13. I was just looking at these on eBay last light, useful tool and some good club spirt
  14. Potentially a good spot there si Now if you could find one for a swb or even better an abflug power superior for swb I'd be very happy.
  15. Dan, yes any pre 94/95 car will need them as the fuel rails are different. I'd be a little concerned about the spray pattern on the later style injectors as Nissan revised the lower manifold and heads to accommodate their wider spray pattern. Maybe nothing to worry about though.
  16. Thanks for the feedback Jeff. That is one of the options I was considering. It's hard to find first hand experience on anything other than the nismo's As a very low cost solution there is also these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6-x-550cc-555cc-500cc-Fuel-Injectors-for-NISSAN-NISMO-Z32-300ZX-89-94-VG30-/111696286671?hash=item1a019e13cf At £230 they seem very good value, I guess they are the same reworked jecs as sold by concept z. A bit of a gamble I guess https://conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=682
  17. Hi all I'm starting to think about my next round of upgrades/restoration parts I'm sure several of my injectors are blocked/stuck open which I'm quite sure is my own stupid fault for not cleaning out the fuel line before connecting it all up. I already replaced one as I has a misfire. Replacing them is no big deal but I'm wondering what to replace them with. Stock would be the most simple/ cheap as they will drop in and require no chip etc but will not give me any future proofing 550 nismos would be great as they drop in but require an obvious remap- they would have enough capacity for me I think but are real expensive 750 nismo/ jecs etc would be cheaper to buy but need adaptors etc and a remap I know there are hit and miss reviews on a lot of the jecs / reflowed injectors but I think most of this is hearsay Anyone know of some nismos for sale?
  18. Nice job, something I was considering too. How much did the materials come to?
  19. That's quite a good idea, not sure if I'll do it though
  20. I have a set of kts/spl coilovers, I don't think they make them any more though. I think they have 8/6 Spring rates which do make them firm but as they are really high quality the damping is great. I will probably change the springs as per Joley in the future. Ps those are some great pics joley
  21. 19 x 9.5 et30 rear 19 x 8.5 et 25 for me 275/30 rear 245/35 front General guide is 19s look a little too big on a swb but ok on a lwb. However as si said depends on the wheels design and also a lot on ride height. Mine is a swb on 19's make your own mind up
  22. I have started researching seats a bit now. I seem to remember seeing that in an Aston too
  23. Good to know Si. I've got a very particular look I'm after, I'll have to get the sketch book out. I won't fill up you build thread, a pm will be heading your way some time soon
