Another RR Day Maybe???
if i can get mine mapped before then i will. otherwise no real point for me because everything is the same on the car. Was a good do last time though. danny

Clutch Recommendations..
rps max. or maybe the street. i've had the max in 2 zeds now. done drag, track and general abuse. current zeds running 400 bhp at the flywheel. think the max is £600 from dta. pedal feels similar 2 stock. and i've not worn one out yet. even with daily driving. in for the lightweight flywheel while your at it. cheers danny

Who'll remap my car for me?
ive been waiting for mr dixon for a good year aswell. But he does seem like a busy man. Theres a place called afm tuning somewhere near london i think. They can map the standard ecu. Im just going to wait for john though. Car isnt running bad, just nothing like what it. And from what everyone says its worth the wait. Having said that we've no chance now that V8 monsters on the road.lol. Hmm, map other peoples Z's or go ripping up the road, tough one. cheers danny

need brakes...!!
I believe they do make a big difference, specially if you overhall your standard callipers and put some decent fluid in while your at it. The only thing with them kits is that the pads dont make contact with all the disk. So your not making use of the extra braking surface, but yeah, with bigger disks the will handle the heat better and should have slightly more power. A master cylinder brace will help to, aswell as braided hoses. And obviously a decent set of pads. So quiet a bit to do with the standard callipers and a big disk conversion. hope this helps, im no expert, this is just what ive gathered over time. danny

Ive booked an open pit lane at brands hatch.
Got all excited about that then till i looked where it is.lol. Thats a long way from manchester. worse than castle combe. Got the track bug now in a big way since the japfest. Cant wait to get back on there. Have a good day mate, you seemed to enjoy the jafest. Hope the weathers better. danny

(NW) Sat 16th May: Japfest, Castle Combe - Convoy
you should get up earlier and come down with me. think ill be setting off at 5ish. you know it makes sense. its long way for a single z.

japfest z track session times
dont know if this is in the right place, but is anyone from the northwest doing the 1st track session and fancy a miniture convoy. Msot of the northwest lot are setting off later? cheers danny

1/4 mile in 13.2 today.
My last Z did the santa pod quarter in 13.1. That had air filter, chip, boost controller (1 bar), headers, decat, lightened flywheel and organic clutch. My current Z should be loads quicker when its mapped properly. Can i join the Drag champs now, even though ive missed the early rounds? cheers danny

Greedy Boost controller
Im sorry for asking this daft question, but why would you have an aftermarket boost controller to run standard boost? Or are you using standard for low boost then more for high? Cheers danny

blitz dual sbc spec r any good?
i had one on my last Z and a friend has one on his mental RX7. I found it a bit hard to set up (i didnt install it, was already on the car). But apart from that it controlled the boost well. Iv got the greedy profec e01 now and thats a lot easier to use and you get a lot more options. danny

ECU Programming... John where are you?
Ive bin using the pm on here mate but he must be either to busy or not doing it any more because ive been waiting ages for a remap now. But i keep getting told he is the best man for the job. danny

Another vid of car
thats a fearsome sound. Will mine sound like that when you map it.lol. danny

where to get these parts from
thought they were re openeing on the 6th april? Well DTA is anyway. Same thing i think. dont know about the manual conversion. danny

Pretty engine bays
I take no credit for this, is my car but it was like this when i got it. Built by Phil at blackmoore service station, for markzx. wouldnt like to have done all that myself though. danny

suspension question - drop link
Make sure the cars weight is sat on the wheels, not jacked up. So that makes acces that bit harder, but apart from that its easy. danny

God damn skylines
That was me at pod, and theres a lot more grip there. I did a 12.9 in the end. Running slightly more boost now than i was then ,but stilll awaiting a remap. Dont have coilovers, have koni shocks and eibach springs all round. Starting to accept the fact that ill never catch 4wd's in a Z. Not unless i went mad with drap setup, and thats not the way i wana role. It wud be good to get a few Z's down to the racing though. Bit of fair competition. No one else with Rwd would race me. Tarts.lol. danny

Additional Oil Rad - What pressure?
Mine never goes more than 6.5 bar. Im no expert but id say 10 bar is more than plenty. danny
-
God damn skylines
Not had it mapped yet, i know ive got 400bhp at the fly and i know the skyline is much more powerful. But when he turned his boost down and we did a rolling start race we were neck and neck. But then when we did a proper launch he just fooks off. Felt like i was driving on ice. I can launch better on the roads, think the tarmac on industrial estates must be slipery. Might not be there this week but ill be there the next time its dry. danny
-
God damn skylines
It is indeed that place. And yeah it is a seriously modified skyline. I have considered traction control but surely that just takes power away so ill be no better off. I agree that the Z is by far the nicer car, and the only skylines i would have are the R34 Nur or obviously the R35 GTR. But just wondered if there were any miracle answers. Good racing there though, ill be sown every week that its dry me thinks. cheers danny

God damn skylines
I did a spot of racing the other night. Private road etc. And there was a skyline R32 GTR, running 1.4 bar, thats all i know. And what looked like road legal slicks. Now i know the 4 wheel drive makes a massive difference when launching but skylines just seem untouchable in drag races. I raced a scooby and managed to claw the lead back after the poor start. But the skyline, nah. Im sick of being beat by skylines. Any bright ideas? Apart from buy a skyline. A am awaiting a remap but that'll probly make the launch situation worse. cheers danny

best way to run in a new clutch???
I thought it depends on the clutch type and manifacturer. What clutch is it, because i believe clutched like the exeedy carbon there is a long and wierd bed in process. Something like do 200 miles with no more than 2500rpm launches, then do 5 4500rpm launches, then another 200 miles etc. Dont qoute me on that but like i said, depends on the clutch type and make. danny

Japfest 2009
So a few of you should step asside in the interests of health and safety and let the ones with uprated brakes do the track.lol. I did it a few years back with stock brakes, well, pads and disks were uprated and it werent that bad, only 5 laps after all. danny

North West Rolling Road Day
Cheers mate, better vid than i got.lol. They should make a silent rolling road, then all you can hear is engine noise. Good pics aswell. Top day all round it really was. Mr JD recons theres some decent gains to be had from a remap and upping the boost aswell. Why did he have to tell me that.lol. I was going to leave it alone. danny
