Roughly how long will it take for all the cars to do their runs? i Mean what kind of time dya think we'll be leaving the place? Doesnt really matter, just need to plan my day if ill have any left. Or is that like asking how long is a piece of string. cheers danny

The 200sx is a single turbo though. I remember driving an S15 spec R and that felt quicker then my last Z. It wasnt quicker, but i think as the boost comes in it gives the illusion of more speed. Whereas the Z gives its power a lot smoother. Just a thought. cheers danny

What hid kit is it? And is there a seperate earth or does it just all plug into the standard connector. Sounds like an earth problem to me, specially being as its intermitant. danny

Do you have HID's or just the normal bulbs? ANd by headlight do you mean main beam or dip beam? The reason i ask is because my old HID kit acted wierd like that. danny

Is that the piping that you can see running over the top of the engine? Thats a poor do if it is. I know everything has been removed. Shocking news. cheers danny

Wonder what mine ul do, Still running in though. Got GT2871rs turbo's 555 injectors larger intercoolers weisco (3.1) pistons and pritty much everything else that you could do to an engine. Running very rich 14 psi at the moment, and it did a 12.9 second 1/4 mile at santa pod. Should be interesting though. Cant wait. danny

i started my driving carrer by working up the almera range. Bombproof cars, looks like its got the hotshot header on aswell. What a bargin, i sold my R reg GTi for £2k 2 years ago. danny

I first saw one everyday on my walk home from school. Probably from the age of 9. So 1994 ish. It was a black TT import auto. G reg with leather. And i never saw it move, just watched it over the years deteriorate at the side of the road. I saw it once on someones drive near where it parked with the bonnet up and someone stood there with a laptop. From the first day i saw it, that was it. So i learnt to drive in a 1 litre micra, did my 1st year of driving in my mums nissan 2 litre QX, got an almera SRi for a year, then an amlera sport +, then almera GTi (slowly working up the nissan range). Then in 2006, got my 1st Z and what a car. And the one i have now is 10 times better than i could have ever imagined. Gonna be a long and expensive love affair. :rolleyes: life story. lol danny

Ill take some close pics as tommorow. But i dont know weather its the ignitors, ballasts or bulbe now, because nothing works on either side of the car. i know both bulbs worked. But when i started trying everything else on the working side it all went wrong. The reason i havent just bought a kit from DTA is because the headlights have been modified to take this kit so the other kit wouldnt fit. Im now looking into new headlights and a kit from DTA, ive found a site that sells all the parts for my it but just for 1 ignitor its £60. And i dont know its that at fault. My Z has the Hella HID kit on which was from a group buy on here years ago. And first the right headlight went out (not main beam), so i thought it was the bulb, tried it in the left side and the bulb worked. So i thought it must have been the ignitor (the kit has seperate ignitors and ballast), tried plugging the right one into the left and it sparked, still no light from the bulb, and now non of them work. So my question is, does anybody, maybe from the group buy, still have the wiring diagram, or had this problem themselves and solved it. Or know a good auto electrician in the northwest that can sort this problem out. This is the link for the original group buy. Ive had an RPS max on 2 Z's now. The current one with hybrid turbos, 555 injectors etc. And it has handled santa pod and whatever other abuse ive thrown at it. Thats with a fidanza flywheel though. But unless i went mentle on power, thats the only clutch id have.

All non turbos are imports so its usually just as cheap to insure a UK twin turbo than an import non turbo. I insured my first Z at 21 and that was a UK manual, but they wouldnt insure me on an import TT. danny

You wont need the fibres then. Specially if its being layed on an existing concrete floor. Never heard of the company, but i dont live anywhere near there. Just the company i work for has had loads of problems with Tarmac, so i would recommend away from them. cheers. danny

The fibres do add extra strength but not normally needed on a garage floor. They're normally used on industrial floors and things likie that. Is it a standard (1 car ish) size garage? If so you shouldnt need fibres or any steel bars. I assume there will be no walls going to be built on it because the garage is already there and you just raising the floor? And just out of interest, what concrete company are you using? cheers danny

Thought the imports didnt have the brembo brakes. Just have the normal single sided callipers. Really do like the 350Z, but its the lack of straight line oomph that puts me off. But then im addicted to boost. danny

Im by no means an expert at this but, does the fact that the Z has a 3 litre engine and the liner has a 2.6 litre engine not have any affect on this. I would have thought that the Z would produce less lag. and if the skyline runs each turbo through 3 cylinders, like the Z, will the skyline turbos be able to hold the higher boost through the whole rev range, with the bigger capacity engine of the Z. Like i say, i only know what read. so these questions are probably stupid, but i was once told that the only stupid question is the ones you dont ask. cheers danny

Ya mean this one? I did see your car behind the start line. Didnt see you run though. I saw the grey one run, that was a standard tt manual, spoke to the guy in the line up. Couldnt have asked for a better weekend, nice and dry and not to hot. Cant wait to go again. danny

I would say low 12's,my last Z was nowhere near this kind of spec and was only .2 secs slower. So when its running like ive been told its capable of, yeah. But i suppose with more power will come more wheelspin. But i will sort that out. Cheers for the pics ed, they r getting printed and framed. Car was filthy after the wet drive down from manchester.
