  1. Alan been exploring the cars power.warranty gone now then for sure :D.When you drag racing him then Joel?
  2. Good work bud.once youve done a few its not bad at all and can be done remarkably quick.Did you leave the a/c compressor on the engine? You can leave it behind like the power steering pump.Be 100% sure the oil line is good as tubs dont seize for no reason.
  3. Another bit of advise is dont waste money on a high flow oil pump.Only engines running low tolerances need these for full on race applications. On your engine the pump will rob horsepower supplying oil thats not needed which just gets returned back to the sump.
  4. Uk bearing supplier of acl Bearings. As used in all my engine builds. http://www.performanceenginecomponents.com/Default.asp
  5. I hope the part lasts longer than the taste :D
  6. Uk performance engine parts supplier ;) http://www.performanceenginecomponents.com/Default.asp
  7. In my experience of building engines id say the power your engine produced had no effect on the premature failure of the bearings. Its more lightly to be caused by another factor.Maybe the crank journals or bearings were not sized right. Was the engine spotless when assembled and all galleries blown through with compressed air.is your oil pump up to scratch? Im not a great believer in "RACE" Bearings as all this usually means is the babbit or final white coating is not present. The bearings should have coped so id look elsewhere first.
  8. 3/8 o2 socket is no good really.half inch for drivers side.I did have to use my 3ft long snap on ratchet to shift it!! and you will have to use an o2 sensor crowfoot for the passenger side.Si,s came out quite easy but the thread damaged on the drivers side so had to undo the 32mm sized elbow insert and run a thread chaser down it.Get one if your doing them,As the threads can be poor and need a clean up.
  9. Count me out mate for the 5th.Ive got other plans that day.
  10. Buy yourself an oil can.Fill it with brake fluid and back bleed the system through the slave nipple. It may take half a litre of fluid pushed through but it always works on the most trickiest of cylinders.Have used this method many times with great success.
  11. No need bud.More than one way to skin a cat matey.
  12. Thats easily solved Mikey. Will tell you when you get yours on.
  13. That the car that was on e bay? Bargain for that!!.Thought it was a mistake when i seen the ad.Missus was hankering for it.
  14. Punto headgaskets are a wheeze to do mate.Done a couple now.Dont keep the car too long after as it may go again. They dont last very long as the cooling on them isnt to clever.
  15. Happy birthday Al,Best wishes bud :duffer:
  16. Not really as its far easier and cheaper to buy a tt.

  19. Not meaning to hi jack guys but changed my tyres aspect ratio from a 30 series to 35.running 285 tyres and they rub on the edge.My cars on regamaster 18 rims.will check the offset and get it on here.Trying to get my arches rolled saturday to sort it.The tyres fill the arches really nice now and the stance is good.
