  1. Did you sort that engine noise out or get to the bottom of it?
  2. Its easy to adjust them but you need to know if they are right.Pop down to a friendly test station and bung the tester a few quid to set them up on the beam setter.
  3. You passed me in a Metallic green series 3 twin turbo near Banwell Weston Super Mare. The reg was K70NY*.Clean looking car with aftermarket wheels.
  4. A quick way to rid the lamp of condensation is to leave it on main beam with a rag over the lens.
  5. All body panels are still available i was told earlier this year.Mjp can get them.Hes a trader on here. Will cost a bomb for fitting. One of the worst panels to replace.
  6. The targa drain runs down the screen pillar so it may be the screw has pierced the tube.
  7. Alan,is it may be worth asking Mikey for the M3 owners phone number. It will be needing a new engine by now and the guy will be sick of it so you may get it for a song :D
  8. No Turbos for reliability,Bet thats well reliable now its been drag raced and had nitrous used in anger on it :wack:.Its hardly a sales ploy that.
  9. A connects to c.B Should connect to the plastic inlet pipe for each turbo.
  10. ^^^totally agree. Leak down tests are way more accurate than compression tests and help to isolate the cause more effectively. As the old pistons have been re used it makes me doubt them.Im also not an advocate of lapped valves on engines with new rings or pistons. They will never seal good enough to withstand the higher combustion pressures.Especially the exhaust valves,They get such a hammering and the seats pit badly i dont see how you could ever lap one back in.The only cure i find is to have the seats and faces re cut.
  11. You running stock pistons with new rings i take it,you inspect the old pistons carefully for cracks?
  12. If it was big ends you almost certainly wouldnt notice it at tickover.By the sounds of it id say it was timing belt area, maybe a slack belt from a collapsed tensioner or similar.Dont panic yet bud im sure its not terminal.
  13. What chip are you running that set up on?
  14. Great minds and all that :D
  15. Before i got my bearing puller i used a sharp chisel each side. This got my dads out years ago on his first zed without any damage.
  16. Oh who let him on here again :nelson::D
  17. Ok bud thats fair enough.Im running these and have fitted these for other people whilst rebuilding their engines and nobodys complained yet.THEY ARE EXACT AMS COPIES as ive seen both.Ive toasted mine whenever i can and i cant say they have let me down yet and my GT525 turbos do seem to spool better.
  18. Dude these are exact copies, they have "AMS" cast into them ;).
  19. Mines like clockwork when i get a chance to drive it.It should be really after the money its cost. Not much else left to change in the engine bay.
  20. So the fact that a larger disc will absorb heat better and reduce fade and the other factor that the pads are gripping the disc further from its axis giving more effort also wont sway you then .
  21. So what your saying then is the thousands of people worldwide who fitted r33 and 350 discs with relocated stock calipers are mistaken then that their brake performance has improved dramatically ?
  22. As Jeff states, nothing to lose as v6 engines camshafts can settle "off lobe" unlike 4 cylinder engines which will always keep a valve or valves open.so in theory it may have survived.
  23. Mikey Beans not far from you.Im sure he could "work his magic" on it :mac1:
  24. Jeff doesnt charge you for using his sofa does he,tight git  You could offer to mow the lawn or wash his car to get lodging cheaper.
