  1. The big black cylinder is the brake booster or servo. They seldom go wrong so should only be replaced if they wont hold the stored vacuum pressure.MJP on here can sort the cylinders for you.
  2. Just get new ones Martin. They are not expensive. But if you wish put a kit in the clutch master but not the brake one,i wouldnt risk it with a car of that performace.
  3. Are those wheels impul? :tt1: they are sexy!!
  4. Wire it to the gearboxes neutral switch as it should be.This way the car knows your in gear and starts to advance the timing.Grounding it will just cause the ecu to think your in neutral all the time.
  5. My thoughts exactly !! Hideous:thumbdown:
  6. You need to wire one side of the switch to earth and the other to pin 44 on the ecu.
  7. Power wise he nailed it,but in the handling he wouldnt. The falcon used to race rs1600 mk 1 escorts. The falcons always did well on the straight but the escorts could take the bends.I admire anyone that can navigate 2 tonnes of pig iron around a twisty track.
  8. Mr F is a parts legend in Z circles,Mike feeney is his name.Hes on here in the traders section.
  9. And make sure you need one!! My stock one copes with 450fwhp no problem and my afr is spot on.
  10. Mr P are you defecting to the short side :tt2:
  11. Half moons i call them,Mr f on here could sort you out a pair bud.
  12. The fuel system does have a non return in the fuel tank.to check its working undo a fuel pipe ten minutes after a run.If you have pressure its doing its job.
  13. Look closely at the back bumper!! its home made using patches, prolly old ice cream tub lids. The guys obviously very handy, heres his gauge pod, defi aint got nothing on this .
  14. The beast resides in Whitehall which is on Eastons doorstep. So literally just up the road from where i work
  15. Take a look at this gem ive found in Whitehall,Bristol.Funkis going to love this machine,To be honest who wouldnt.Obviously its work in progress and not reached its full splendour
  16. Have you priced up new ones,You dont need the bells, just the outer disc.Youll need to measure the diameter. Those discs are not made specific to the car they are just sold by dimensions. You swap the new disc onto the old bells.Once youve got the dimensions google them. They are made by AP racing.
  17. Yes mate, one you crack off the offending injector the noise will stop.It will need re furbing.Shouldnt cost more than £100 i should imagine.
  18. If its diesel knock and NOT common rail, undo each fuel pipe in turn with it running till the knock stops,if it doesnt then it may be the pump or timing. If it starts good then it prolly isnt timing. It wont be because an injector is in wrong, they will only go in one way,if it was leaking past the injector it will make a chuffing sound as air is forced out.
  19. The metal pipes didnt have corrosion when it was new bud.Best to do the same on any of the water pipes if they are pitted.Could prevent a disater.
  20. Those water hoses in your picture, did you smear sealant around the inside before you fitted them? They can leak if you dont.
  21. Have a good one matey
