  5. My sentiments exactly,The spacer is welded for location only. The clamping of the bolt is what holds the caliper.Id go for a 10.9 bolt and not an 8.8 for peace of mind.
  6. FPMSL  Ive just got myself another van, anyone know what the tightening sequence is for the cylinder head bolts? anyone :helpsmilie::lol:
  7. Not strictly true either,Morgan lock stops are wooden and the tyres rub them on full lock. The manual has rather a few grey areas, the ministry rely on their testers to use common sense.
  8. Not part of the Mot bud.One of those mot myths im afraid.Only protrusions on the body caused by damage or corrosion are failable items,so in other words if you mounted pitch forks across the bonnet and along the side id have to pass it.
  9. You were right how you did it.Its best to leave the torque convertor in the box,but if youd known then yes the torque convertor would have just slid off the input shaft off the box.You neednt have spent three hours cutting the box up though when the bolt rounded off.The welded nut trick would have worked as you said or some sockets made by Irwin are great for removing damaged bolts.
  10. Well done mate, good feelin to accomplish a job like that. You can pull the engine without un doing the torque convertor bolts though.Just means you lose some tranny fluid thats all.It saves cutting the bellhousing up next time.
  11. I know its got to be awful but im pissing myself here

  18. The shoot lasted all day!,Must have been cold posing on that zed in speedos whilst the cameraman tries to get the best shots
  19. ARSE !! when i saw rustler i thought it was about the one handed reading material that shares the same name.
  20. The seals get hotter, expand then seal up whilst driving. When the tubs cool at idle they allow oil to pass
  21. ^^^^^^^^^^ The new exhaust has altered the back pressure and caused the tub seals to pass oil.can happen sometimes :mad2:
  22. Just do it by eye.easy to do and your eye is just as accurate.
  23. About time Grumpy ya tite wad !!
  24. Its because its not really trade prices really.Joe public gets his pants yanked down to his ankles, halfords trade card holders pants only get to the knees. The prices are so inflated in the first place they can afford to drop the massive mark up.
