  1. The jdm cars never had oil coolers and dont suffer as a result.Loop the pipes its fine.Ive done it before with no probs.
  2. Yeh but you cant drive for shit by the sounds of it.Mr im used to autos usually  KEEP THAT LEFT FOOT OFF THE CLUTCH PEDAL WHEN YOUR DRIVING ITS NOT A REST !!
  3. Why not bud,id be grateful if you could :thumbup1:
  4. Ive been told that but never known anyone whos used it after a problem and been satisfied.I had a conversation with my bank about me sending large amounts of money to the states via paypal  as getting your money back can be a problem if something goes wrong. My missus sold a pair of shoes to a woman in Poland who paid by paypal. She recieved the money and posted them promptly.Paypal said the womans payment was fraudulent and removed the money from her account the :xxx: after several e mails to them she never ever got a reply and lost out with no explanation why.My banks legal advisor said they get constant complaints from their customers who had bad dealings with paypal, hence the reason i buy all my Z1 parts by credit card.
  5. I think that is your car,it belonged to a guy from Wales,i cant be sure of his name at the mo,he had hollow legs and gorged himself at any pub meet.Pk1 maybe,im not sure if thats right. His car did get re sprayed and black and had stripes added iirc.
  6. Nice project to undertake and the best of luck with it . If the engines been stood for a while the tubs do go tight sometimes as the snails corrode causing the impellers to tighten.Get the tubs re furbed anyway for peace of mind and set about making that engine good as new :cool2:
  7. On the Passenger side tub its common for the oil pipe to clog like an artery this starves the turbo of oil which seizes up with no smoke as it has no oil supply.Usually the only thing the owner notices is a distinct lack of power.
  8. e bay has become a dung heap of late where its commonplace for turds to be offered for sale under a carefully worded advert which ensures no come back once the buyer realises they have been had.The times ive heard people say if something is f**ked "oh well i will sell it on e bay then"
  9. It should not be a problem as the car has been converted to a manual.autos have 3 plugs by the fuse box, manuals have two.its probaly a connection issue causing your problem.you have a consult or done an ecu check? some faults dont always cause a code to be logged in the ecu so its worth checking any connections you know you disturbed and cleaning any corrosion off the terminals and tightening the pins.Check your cas connection. The ecu reads the engine has been cranked via the cas then latches the fuel pump ecu.
  10. No bud,its ok to swap cams from one head to another.
  11. Probaly got dropped.Cams are hardened which makes them very brittle.
  12. Twin plate clutches shouldnt be necessary at his end of the scale. When your talking 600rwhp + then its time to get one.A Single plate will hold his power fine.
  13. as long as your running an aftermarket gearbox oil cooler then yes.
  14. That clutch plate looks ok as the grooves have not gone BUT it is not able to cope with the cars power so will fry soon prolly. That flywheel is the same as mine.Set of plates cost $190 iirc.
  15. Did the clutch force itself off the flywheel once the bolts were undone? This is a good sign the plate may be salvageable. Its the plate we need to see mate to judge if its had it.If your flywheel is an RPS syn r g then the friction plates can be replaced if they are buckled.Z1 sell the kit.
  16. leave the n/s rack clamp off until you have removed and refitted the drivers side.It will come out much easier.
  17. they can be done in situ with a bit of wrestling.dropping the crossmember is rather severe.Getting the old one out is easy.Try some washing up liquid or similar to help ease the bush in.
  18. Have you drove the car, they will never burn off the soot at idle after a cold start.
  19. Was he in a red van with stickers over the side of it? Daryll may know him.
  20. yep just checked on Sigmas site http://www.toadplc.com/sigma Just tried the link and its as much use as a man with no legs in an arse kicking competition. But It proves they are the same company.
  21. Try Sigma.they are the same company so im told.
  22. Jeez give me strength :headvswal
  23. M5,s dont hold value for shit.check their prices.
  24. It shouldnt lose its setting when you disconnect the battery so you should be fine.
  25. My sentiment exactly.Dont get mad,get even
