  1. Get it up on axle stands on the chassis legs about a 40 - 50cm will do it.the gearbox will dangle and slide through the hole ok with the front crossmember undone and hanging .
  2. Those joiners on the pipes bud,are they flared, they look like nut and olives. If they are olive type joiners they should fail.Paul will be able to confirm this.
  3. This is what happened to the guy i know,he paid 5k for a fully forged engine and got a s/hand nailed together pile of shit with high mileage pistons and worn bearings that eventaully span on no3 main.

  5. No worries, what do i know, carry on its your money, obviously your loaded and £38 means nothing and you prefer the diagnosis by repacement method then good luck to you, however talking from experience its not usually at fault.Do you actually know how and why the series one ptu fails without googling it?
  6. My engines are all silver but that doesnt prove anything really tbh.I do supply pics of the engine in various stages and car having it removed to give owners a good record.look at details of what work was done and what was used to see if list is credible and of course who did it Lol.
  7. Series one ptu failure is not as common as is made out,ive come across loads of cars still running a series one with no probs, mines 6 years old that i know, could be the same age as the car possibly. Its more than lightly an injector plug has gone green or a coilpack plug making a bad connection. It may just be a dirty connection at the ptu that when disturbed to replace it seems to have cured it,expensive repair for what could have been fixed with some time and patience using sandpaper.
  8. Its the fact its handwritten for a 6k invoice Jeffs getting at Ian.Nowt to do with adding or altering. You spend that money you expect a printed well detailed invoice not a scribbled list of costs.
  9. Well done for taking that on youve done a good job.You could do with twice as many spotwelds along the sill repair panel though .
  10. The bushes would have to have disappeared completely to give wheel hop.Rear shocks for sure. Many people are riding around on leaking rear subframe bushes with no idea they,ve gone.
  11. umm let me see now.His first name sounded like mandy, and his second was the same as well known beer on the simpsons.Hes as popular as a horny dog at a Miss lovely legs competition.
  12. No one that far up anymore and the that was turned out to be a crook .Zedworld is the furthest north specialist if yer after one.
  13. 10K !!! Jesus how things move on,Could do you a forged one for a third of that, welcome back mate.Been a while since i saw your name appear on here.
  14. All those can be polished up and will look great for as long as you can be arsed to constantly keep them buffed up and coated with polish,Its high maintenance so be warned.Leave it parked for a bit and its damp and the white corrosion comes knocking in droves. The rockers can not be got to so will go first trust me.
  15. No worries mate, thanks for the thumbs up.Those hicas ball joints were tighter than a ducks butt :scared:.
  16. smoke at idle, misfire prolly caused by oil on spark plugs is probaly tub failure imho.Do a comp test to be sure though.
  17. Match modelling is usually for jail birds, will make or cover anything with matches to pass the time away Lol.
  18. Code 34 is a fault code,if the car detects detonation is does not register a code 34 it retards the timing and drops to a knock map if the ecu has one (some chips dont) which increases fuelling for engine protection.
  19. His manager was fit as fook.Rip macho man,I was a teenager again reading that.I still remember watching Wrestlemania 1 on a betamax video, shit im getting old.
  20. You click on the zatzy link on the pistonheads page?

  22. That c*ck in the 350 drove like a cu*t,he lost it before camp at the chicane and understeered off the track when he finally got some steering he just drove back onto the track as if he was the only one driving, and almost hit Murt !! How the guy can say Rob drive like a k**b is a total pisstake.
  23. With the low compression and oil in the pipes its not looking good Ian.Brace yerself, your gonna be in deep with that one.
  24. Wish id never put the boost jets in for Wayne ,he binned it days after.Hit a puddle on a B rd and span .Car was real mess after. The pictures dont do it justice.
  25. Great vid bud,its great to see a zed sideways :tt1:.You need to check the o2 sensor on that bank is working,id also be concerned that an injector may not be spraying correctly.
