  1. That silver liner with the black arches,if i had to choose,id happily bludgeon my mother to death for it.its amazing :punk:
  2. Its probaly poor engine hygiene, left from the last car it came off or metal that was left in the oil cooler after a failure.
  3. Ok Matey,Im out all day with friends Sunday and wont be home till late.I can call you Monday evening.
  4. Your welcome matey,i hate to see people nailed by unscrupulous ****s.Im glad to help.I shall be watching this thread for updates.
  5. Pending approval,do they really think that "specialist" has enough money to sue someone then,i doubt it.How long has that engine ran for ? those pistons look rather black.
  6. Glad they worked mate, knew they would.Ive got a bluepoint set and they are mustard for rounded bolts. That engine has stock gaskets !!are the pistons new ?
  7. Cracking tyres ? unless its got a lump, buldge or tear causing seperation or lifting of the tread thats not a fail.If the cords are exposed its a fail but if not an Advisory only.Loads of cars have cracked tyres especially womes i used to find cus tthey dont drive hard enough to wear them out.
  8. failing that these will budge them, ive got a bluepoint set the same and they are the *****x,hammer them on for a good grip http://www.my-tool-shed.co.uk/m102/Irwin/Mechanics_Tools/f2349/index.html
  9. Looking at the pistons and bores im not being horrid mate but id be amazed if that had done only 25k !!
  10. This thread Lol,its a true testament to an old saying, start with the basics first
  11. Little tip for anyone, always undo the rad pipe where it meets the engine or this can happen. Its quite common for this to happen when that end of the hose is disturbed.
  12. With the mods youve done custom mapping would be a bit overkill.A generic chip would be fine.Did you not consider putting new rings in and bearings whilst it was apart ?
  13. To check the injectors in situ, take the spark plugs out on the offending cylinders, hook up a 9v battery to the injector, you,ll see the fuel spraying into the cylinder, dont use a candle to see though Lol.
  14. if you look here all is explained. The sender should be screwed straight into where the blank plug was on the filter tree.it does fit,ive done it.if you look at the pics youll make out the sender.http://www.z1motorsports.com/imageGallery/main.php?g2_itemId=79592
  15. It does go in matey, done this loads of times.unscrew the blank plug and in she will go,the wiring plug is tight but it does go(youll need to extend the wiring of course) .
  16. http://www.porntube,com/ this is one close to me,its a porridge gun shooting range.Youll never tire of this, takes 24 hours to build a good "head of ammo" and the targets vary daily.
  17. Like Columbo, has Jeff got a dirty mac he wears when hes fathoming out these problems  fair shout for sorting that one Jeff.Bet your chuffed Tony to get the green machine flying again.
  18. Quite a task matey, you would need extensive pullers, circlip pliers of varying sizes etc.not an easy job im afraid.
  19. Tbh you wont really notice a difference. The fmic will allow air flow anyway so i wouldnt worry about it.I had a vented nose panel and tired of it,smooth is where its at and i have to say i have not noticed any difference in cars running temps.
  20. THe chances of the oil level causing just 2nd gear to grind is remote to say the least.A syncro in a gearbox which is what is used to slow the gear down to allow engagement is designed to disperse oil,so a lack of it wont be a problem. Its probaly the syncro tbh.
  21. No mate,i cant lie.Mine is grey though and stock looking with rare jap rims on it.
  22. Would Jeffs chip disable the speed limiter?,positively yes mate :scooter:
  23. Yeah that and his liquid gold insect repellant ointment to soothe and relax !!
  24. Christ !! i hope whoever it is they dont sleep face down :whistling::pinch::lol:
  25. plug the faulty sensor into the known good side, iirc it does reach just about.if the fault shows on the opposite side you know its the sensor.Fit an oem sensor and not an e bay one cus they are rubbish. The drivers side is plugged in on the side of the plenum on the tin bracket, the passenger is plugged in usually at the rear of the plenum on a bracket behind the black balance bar that straddles the plenum. The sensors have three wires at the plug so that narrows it down.A red wire,a black one and a white wire should be present.hth.
